Being serious. Huge Jackman or The Muppets is a legit hard choice. . It was between these two and Lovitz for me, and I'm just barely going with Jackman because of the great moments playing off the crowd's love of Zack Ryder.

This was a great idea for a thread and I really appreciate the effort in cataloging all of these hosts.

Also, I believe there was a Typo here. Mick Foley didn't guest host 12/24/2012, that was Santa Claus.

I always enjoyed Pete Rose making HBK’s last Raw match vs Kane. It worked in storyline and I think he only appeared once or twice more during the show.
That said. Muppets.

A-Team just because of Bradley Cooper’s quick getaway when he realized he was on Raw. “Hey guys I’m just come out here and gonna show my face for about 30 seconds so I can collect my massive pay-check. By the way, buy my new movie. I’m outta here lol, peace.”

I like the Muppets even if it's just for making Sheamus and Beaker related canon

If we're talking about stuff that objectively worked, Jackman. He obviously loved being there, the angle with Ryder/Ziggler was great and the crowd was HOT.
Subjectively, I know Cooper's getting talked about here but good lord, the segment at the end of the A-Team guest host gig where Ted Dibiase Jr hired Virgil and IRS to kidnap Quentin Jackson because Roddy Pipper got him confused with Mr. T and he's saved by a Sharlto Copely riding in a golf cart with Dusty Rhodes and Mean Gene Okerlund is the dictionary definition of a fever dream.

I hear great things about Hugh Jackman but never saw the episode. So I vote Shatner. For the theme song covers.

I hear great things about Hugh Jackman but never saw the episode. He didn't do all that much, but he got a lot of respect for his enthusiasm and for how into his role on the show he was. Plus, it helped that he aligned himself with Zack Ryder, at the time when Z! True Long Island Story was right at its peak.

William Shatner was good fun, and Mike Tyson threatened to eat Hornswoggle.
I guess it was 2009 but nothing ever beat the night it was Jesse Ventura and he got Vince back on commentary, did a tournament and battle royal, launched Sheamus's main event run and turned heel on John Cena for good measure.

God and Ventura basically spent that match burying McMahon and booking logic and Vince had no counter. It was kind of beautiful.

Not mentioned yet, but Jon Stewart was good.
He'd make a solid manager.

Charlie Sheen had potential. If they only let him wrestle Daniel Bryan let the original plan was suppose to be.
Watching him taking a running knee, when his heel heat was off the charts in 2012, would've been something!

Bret. The hug between him and Shawn was one of the most heartwarming moments in wrestling, and I'm glad it extended to real life, with them finally burning that bridge.
