I decided to rewatch the final segment and lets be honest, Dark Order beating up the Elite was needed so Unos words of "Join us and you will be winners" mean something, if they had the Elite beating them up then Uno would become a joke like pre Fiend Bray Wyatt, now kayfabe speaking after beating up the Elite they can easily persuade a credible midcarder and above to join them.

Thinking about it more, it all clicked with me like you did. Considering how they've been treated beforehand and how they've been built up, they gathered an army, the army took advantage of strength in numbers whilst the faces, whilst good intentioned, were not the effective force they would have been when AEW started. And you can either lure Daniels with his own issues or Page with him not being there. Like, even though it does need a bit more context explained with the newer audience, this arc with The Elite has been fascinating. Especially comparing them to how the Inner Circle's become a unit who mostly comes out together for beatdowns and such. |

Daniels joining Dark Order would give a good reason for him to go back to the Fallen Angel gimmick.

Cutler being in the Dark Order would be wild, as it plays in to so much of the storyline.
I don't think the dude in the purple mask is him though, I think that guy's body type was different. It may be someone who hasn't debuted yet.

well daniels is fond of wearing masks of various people. and he is a Fallen Angel after all. so I think him losing to pentagon jr. very soon kicks things into motion when Uno comes out and gives a "yeah SCU are champs, the other two guys, but you don't seem to be able to get the job done yourself Christopher. join darkorder and regain what you've lost." speech as dark order works their way into the #1 spot for a shot at SCU's titles. SCU refuses to believe daniels would ever turn on him, then he does after which he pulls off a Daniels mask (think sting wearing a sting mask) to reveal a curry man mask underneath, which he pulls off to reveal a suicide mask, which he pulls of to reveal a Fenix mask, which is then pulled off to reveal a pentagon jr mask, which he then pulls off to reveal a dark order mask. meanwhile the show has been off the air for ten minutes as his unmasking took so long and they have to add the bonus footage to AEW Dark for that week.

I hope this leads to Sting Adam Page.
He's constantly accused of being a member of The Dark Order, and gets so fed up with that he leaves. He returns in his darker form to help save AEW at the last minute.

The whole Dark Ordner stuff works right now, because there are actually a few candidates for them. Some more likely than others.
Hangman Page: He would be the biggest name I could see join the faction. He would be their "holy shit" member.
Peter Avalon: Very likely to join and thus ending the librarian shit.
Brandon Cutler: He does not seem to be that discontent, but his jobberdom could be an explanation for him to reveal himself as one of the creepers.
Chris Daniels: It's teased with him showing signs of self-doubt, but like Page I could only see him as a "shock" member. SCU might face the Dark Order for the title and I could see a turn or a teased turn playing into that feud.
