I've really never had any clue at all what the appeal of the match is supposed to be, especially now with one of them retired and the other one a shambling husk. Legit WWE 90s icon vs Legit WCW 90s icon * Sigh * No HHH, your match doesn’t qualify

There are several ways they can book this to work around their physical limitations:
- Chicago street fight - Sumo match - Brawl for All match - Bra and panties match - Gravy bowl match - "Super Posedown"

scorpion gimmick casket match , it would not be very physical (of course the scorps would be cgi and plastic so no real danger) , would be nice to see a vulture again too

Just have them squash some shit talking heel tag team like Gallows and Anderson really quickly at WrestleMania. As for a one on one match between the two, the ship sailed about 5 years ago.

*sigh* Imagine what could have been .... Selfishly, I wish this is what we had gotten at WM 27 because that was my first time seeing WWE’s biggest show of the year in person. Being able to say that I was there for Sting vs. Undertaker ... damn that would have been cool. Just think of the cash the company could have made from commemorative t-shirts, plaques, and so on.

Makes me wonder wHHHy they didn't do this dream match at Mania 31 when they had the opportunity. Undertaker didn't want the match. Sting has talked about it in various interviews in recent years. He's desperate for this match but Undertaker has never shown the same interest. I have no idea why he didn't want the match though. It can't be because of any artistic integrity and fear of letting fans down by putting on a dreadful match because he's still doing all those Saudi matches which he surely knows going in are going to be abominations.

I have always been in the minority on this one, but this was never a dream match to me. I've never really seen the appeal.
I love both guys, but there are other matches I would have much rather seen them in.

If Sting wanted this match so bad, why did he stay on TNA for so long? Dumbass

I really just want the two characters to interact on TV. They don't even have to say anything.

I love Taker... he's one of my favorite wrestlers of all time... for years my name and avatar were references to him...
The entrances for Sting vs. Taker would be pretty epic and it would be a legitimate dream match... but the fact is that Taker can barely move and I don't think Sting can bump enough or should be bumping enough to work around Taker.
Taker is well passed the time he should be having any kind of extended match... at most Bell spooky entrance Chokeslam and maybe tombstone is about all he really should be doing.

MAN the f***ing 2.21.11 videos MAANNNN if they were building Undertaker/Sting for WM27, I wanted that so bad. Two dudes in trenchcoats and boots walk into the same cabin...then the payoff it was just Undertaker was both of them. Then Triple H showed up and they stared at each other. SIIIIGH I spent so long analyzing the shots of the boots in the videos. WAY TOO LONG.

Huge long entrances for both but.. Undertaker in Aleister Black's corner and Sting in Roderick Strong's corner. Black vs Strong Mania match.

Sting occasionally wanders into Taker's old yard and whenever Roman sees him, he just doesn't have the heart to tell Sting that it's his yard now. Instead Roman invites him in and Sting tells him stories like the time Apocalypse's horsemen alongside Robocop and the great invasion from the yankees up north. Roman doesn't mind because Sting usually gives him a Werther's original.

I'm wondering if this might work better with Sting and a partner vs. Taker and Kane.

Undertaker enters the Royal Rumble and clears the ring. Clock counts down for the next entrant and the lights go out... Sting walks down the aisle, stops on the apron, points the baseball bat at Undertaker then points at the WrestleMania sign, throws the bat down and leaves.
AOP storm the ring and destroy the Undertaker.
Three months of Sting appearing at random intervals, demanding that the Undertaker accept his invite to show up at WrestleMania.
Three months of video packages of what might've been with this match while AOP take all the credit for ending Undertaker's career and ruining Sting's dream match.
Sting shows up at WrestleMania. He grabs the mic and AOP storm the ring. Just as they're about to go to town on Sting the bells toll and the Undertaker cleans house.
They stare down then the baseball bat, the hat and the coats are left in the ring. Cue The Fiend for his main event, torch passed.
