Anyone else think if The Revival goes to AEW they'll not be really that more interesting than say Shawn Spears? Scott Dawson as Jamie Noblesque character could be great though, as seen on that 'leaked' video with Alexa Bliss. They remind me of La Résistance and Basham Brothers. I totally dig their wrestling, so I can't disagree more. The idea of them vs the Bucks or vs Lucha Bros....

Humberto is really boring. The big problem is that he barely has a character other than “flippy dude”. At least Ricochet has his “real-life superhero” shtick.

Vince probably just started watching Dawson's Creek, so get ready for some spoof videos with Scott Dawson. So open up your morning light And say a little prayer for Scott You know that if we want to stay alive We have to make sense of Vince's mind I don't wanna wait For this comedy to get over I want to know right now what will it be I don't wanna wait For their contracts to be over Will it be Vince or will it be Codddddddy?

Why does this sound like someone sent Meltzer rumors so stupid sounding just to troll him but everything about it is so plausable that no way could Meltzer not believe it.

Translation: We tried all year to convince them to sign new contracts and they wouldn’t. So now we’re going to drop their stock rapidly until they leave. Does Vince not get that he CAN'T drop someone's stock anymore?Him trying to bury an act only makes them more sympathetic to everyone else. No...no he does not

Humberto just acts like a heel. He's like Tommy in Power Rangers. Remember when he showed up and was cute and shit so Kimberly liked him? Remember when he became cool when he went heel as the Green Ranger?
That's Humberto. He's got a heel swag about him and his new theme is cocky.

I mean, he is cousins with The Ultimate Dickhead Boyfriend (that you stay with because he's got outward charm, and really, you can make him like that all the time, you just KNOW you can, and that he won't go back into dickhead mode again after that...).

Sad thing, this will lead to the Revival being more over than they ever were.

In the sense that people will complain about them being criminally misused and treated unfairly, but truth being that this well may make them the most successful to the chagrin of the non-casuals.

That still doesn’t make it sad, really. I mean, you putting it that way doesn’t anyway. Like, if they become over from it and they enjoy it, if anything, it might get them to actually sign a contract if they’re allowed to put themselves into it. Even with what I said earlier, and that is the intention if history tells us anything, this isn’t exactly bad. Just lame.

Wrestling is weird. If an actor or even musician played a comedy character or even a comedy act then most wouldn't care as long as they did it well. In wrestling though if somebody has it, even if they're on screen more, it's apparently a bad thing because a lot think it means they're not taken seriously when they're really just playing a character. Santino's a great example of it because the guy was always doing comedy and he always ended up having something on screen. To this day he's still one of the most memorable stars they've had these past 15 years purely based off of that.
I get that the people love The Revival's ringwork, I do too, but those boys at mad talented at whatever they do. As long as they get screen time then it's cool with me.

It’s just imo, the Revival aren’t good fits for the main roster style independent of faulty booking. Just not over with casuals. Much more suited for NXT/AEW/Indy’s. this might be an eye opener, if it works* that It takes more than being great in the ring to succeed on a show catered to casual fans

Having said that, this is probably going to backfire and they’ll basically streamroll their release because creative can’t do comedy well.

Obviously, the issue is that WWE comedy is abhorrent 99% of the time, so this rumor just brings back soul-crushing memories of gems like Old Day, Bobby's sisters, Bayley: This Is Your Life, everything R-Truth has done the past year, ass injections, etc. Could the Revival do comedy well? Yeah, probably. Somewhere else, where the material isn't written to make one guy laugh.
