This really as nothing to do with anything but my head defaults to Keith when I hear the name “Bruce Hart”. That man looks like a Bruce.

Go back and watch the angle from SummerSlam 93 when he & Owen were at ring side. I assume it was still when he thought he was in line for the big program with Bret. He just mugs so damn much. I watched this match recently and had forgotten just how much he tried to involve himself - especially after getting soaked by Doink. I wondered if he’d get too carried away and get in the ring. Imagine that; he’d have blown the match and potentially got Bret DQd! If he’d have gotten the nod to be the brother who turned against Bret, would we talk of the feud in the same way we do about Owen? Somehow, I doubt it.

It would have been OK...ish because Bret would have carried it into that range but it would have been nowhere near what Bret vs Owen was.

If I remember correctly, the initial Hart brother vs. brother angle was pitched by Bruce as a feud between him and Bret. Bret talked Vince into changing it to Owen because he thought it would do a lot more for Owen and because Bruce was... well, Bruce.

One of my favorite quotes came from Bad News Brown who said that Stu told him that he wished he could send Bruce to another territory to be a jobber and get the shit kicked out of him.

I mean he did wear a mean pair of sunglasses. He could of been a body double for Piper in “They Live”

Was Bruce one of the knobs that was running the Hart Wrestling camp when Jericho and Lance Storm started training?

Well let's not forget Bruce helped run shows for another promotion after Stu sold Stampeed to McMahon. As Bruce violated the terms of the deal Vince reneged on the deal causing Stu to lose his 10% off all WWF gates in Western Canada which would have been a decent retirement fund plus the 1 million for stampeed.
Way to screw it up for everyone Bruce.

Only speaking for myself but as a kid who watched WWF at the time, Owen made sense because he was in the WF at the time and I knew who he was. I had no idea who Bruce was To suddenly have him show up and for them to go Oh this is Bret's brother and he hates him. It just wouldn't have worked as well storywise. Owen though had been in the mid card and had been floundering. Him turning on Bret over Bret's success made so much more sense. I can't speak for Bruce's wrestling skills as I only saw him in that Survivor Series match but tbh that wasn't great. Owen though was well known for doing great moves

Haven't you been watching OSW's latest reviews? He's a gas!
He is currently giving another meaning to "Brucie Bonus."
