Not exactly a shock with Excalibur as one of the bookers but AEW Talent appeared at Mystery Vortex tonight! PWG's return show! Evil Uno and Orange Cassidy had a match together and got some of the biggest crowd reactions. Cassidy also came out to Jane. Malakai Black returned and reunited with Brody King JD Drake faced Brody King and apparently had a really good match Tony Khan and William Regal were both there respectfully scouting talent. Rick Knox reffed Super Dragon returned to looking like he's in the best shape in a decade or more and is returning to in ring action. ...I know he's not AEW but this has renewed my extremely bias "Please have Super Dragon show up for at least one AEW show" heart

Tony Khan and William Regal were both there respectfully scouting talent. Oh, I hope those two got together for a chat. Not even in a "you know where we are if you need a job" way (though Tony would be daft not to make that offer) but just two guys with a breadth of wrestling knowledge shooting the shit.

I didn’t think AEW needed him upon being released and maybe even more-so now: Rosters brimmed to the max and it doesn’t seem to be getting any smaller. But kudos to the cat, he looks great and clean.

Good on Braun for admitting being hateful in the past.
Amazing what being out of WWE brainwashing can do for someone.
In other news - can I justify starting a thread just about the flying Judy's Effect, which is my single favourite wrestling move Jericho has done since he left WWE?

Thankyou, phone, for correcting Judas Effect to Judy's Effect. That is what I am now calling it

My ongoing annoyance with the constant eye attacks is getting worse. Malaki just blatantly gouges Cody's eyes in front of the ref and nothing.

Would I accept Braun? I mean, sure, if he's genuine about being apologetic for being kind of a dick in the past. It happens, especially if people are going through rough times. That's often very ugly, and people lash out.
Do I expect it to happen? I don't really know. Weirder things have happened, but I'd kind of expect him to try Hollywood.

He's my longshot pick for Lambert bringing in "Backup" vs Archer.

Eddie Kingston is AEW's Mick Foley, isn't he? Hardcore legend who's bounced around for years and years, that's finally found a home where he's beloved, by both fans and talent alike. He doesn't need to bleed again and an international audience will still love him.

How he came in to AEW vs Cody was brutal as was his match with Moxley... but he made most of his bones in a PG company in CHIKARA... in very normal matches He just is such an amazing storyteller that he always captivated in everything he did. And still does.

He's also ungodly wholesome behind the scenes, holding brody's kids up so they can play videogames, getting called up on podcasts as he can.cut a promo on anything, I wasn't a fan but backstage Eddie really has made me root for the guy.

Kingston and Ricky Starks need to recreate this:

I'm out of the loop on this but, can anyone explain why Tony Schiavone and Britt Baker are so close? It seems that their relationship is an off-air one that has materialized into an on-air one as well.

It seems that their relationship is an off-air one that has materialized into an on-air one as well. I believe it's the other way around. Britt said that Tony was chosen for her to play off of because he is experienced and was trusted to help her along if she got stuck.

Tony is great at that, if a talent has bad habits, he'll give them little prompts, even physical nudges to help them get past it. He's loving life and giving back as best he can.

There’s something in the wrestling-air today.
Upon waking up and getting something at the store, I run into a guy in a BC shirt. Throw up the too sweet and dude couldn’t have looked happier. I make a post about Punk with “if you know, you know”. Literally the first thing I see after is a post by Tama Tonga with Finn with the caption “if you know, you know”. I go to a different store texting my bud who’s asking me if I found tix to the NJPW show tomorrow. I tell him no, and then see a Hikaru Shida AEW action figure. She’s his literal favorite. I think “ima get this for him”. He texts me within a minute saying he found tickets for NJPW tomorrow.
All to be capped off with Rampage tonight. I fricken love wrestling, man.
