Would anyone want this version? His talking is done in the ring. His amazing work inside of it.
And getting good babyface reactions.
What happened to THIS Lashley that Vince had a hard on for?

Bobby Lashley has never, ever been good.
Much like Bobby Roode, Lashley had a top run in a company that was in a state of complete shit. He was a standout in a sea of others who were bad to mediocre. Kinda like being voted the cutest person at an ugly convention; sure, it's an accomplishment, but it's also a low bar.
I said before he returned that he would be exposed quickly when he stepped into a company chock full of talent, and that's exactly what has happened. Even if you disregard his terrible character work and worse booking, he still hasn't delivered anything even remotely memorable in the ring, either.
Dude's a dud.

Bobby Lashley has never, ever been good. He was the best thing about IMPACT for a lot of months. He was booked the way Lesnar would be if he were full time.

Lashley's whole run since he came back has been so bizarre. Like he's not exactly a hard guy to book in that he's just a big muscular guy who kicks ass. Instead they've made him a home wrecker who likes showing off his ass and really loves his sisters. I mean it's kind of so ridiculous it's kind of funny and has made him kind of endearing to me especially how he just kind of seems to just go with the flow and doesn't give a crap. Like he comes off as this guy whose in early 40's that has become content with his life and just finds amusement in the absurdness of these wacky storylines they keep putting him in.

I can never trust him after what he's done to my man Rusev I know how you feel, but I kinda think Bob is also a victim of circumstances here... Only if my boy, Big Vis, was alive. ' would take care of the problem, called "Lana"

My entire post was about him being the best in a shit company, and how that isn't really an accomplishment. So sure, he was the best Impact had at the time. That doesn't mean he's good. It just means he stood out among the bottom. Hell, if he were to go back to Impact now, he wouldn't stand out. They're a very different company with a lot more talent on the roster. He would easily be outshone by Cage, Callihan, Willie Mack, Tessa Blanchard, Moose, and more. The guy is nothing special at all when he has actual competition around him.

Nah. He was just a musclehead with no personality. Not that I don't like that kind of wrestlers, but It's getting old pretty quick. At least now we can kinda "get to know him" in a sense he's doing different things than just being tough and beating people up.

Whatever other flaws he may have had at that time, I still contend that this is one of the best things to come out of that period.

When they booked him against John Cena at GAB that did not feel out of place, and if I recall there was significant chatter he might take it. When he lost and then ended up in the battle of the billionaires at Wrestlemania, it was clear they still had big plans.
To respond to the OP, ship has passed but booking dude as a destroyer is probably the best way still.
