IU has been a disaster on the men's side (though when isnt that new?) but I am hoping the women finally host a subregional.
Two years ago, they won the WNIT, and last year they won their first NCAA tournament game. They made great progress.
Also congratulations to IUPUI as the women's team made the tournament for the first time ever.

NCAA has announced that both National Championship tournaments will be empty arena games. Holy shit, that's absolutely huge. It helps them not have to deal with uncertainty and their ability to run the tournaments as scheduled. But what a shock it will be to see a buzzer beater with absolutely no crowd reaction. Not to mention the gigantic loss of revenue from not selling any tickets to any games. I feel bad for the players, but take that NCAA. Nobody deserves a big hit to the pocket more than those jackasses.

NCAA has announced that both National Championship tournaments will be empty arena games. Conference tourneys will pretty much be the last chance to see crowds if they allow it. Unless you're the Ivy League, which decided to cancel theirs, and gave the men's title to Yale and the women's to Princeton.

Fred Hoiberg might have unintentionally spread the coronavirus tonight at the Fieldhouse. He pretty much stayed until the very end, looking like hell before being dragged to the locker room with less than 4 minutes to go, and people were advised to stay away from the area.

Putting the rest of the Big 10 tourny in serious jeopardy. Not to mention they were playing Indiana, who had a lot of fans show up, and the Fieldhouse is close to both a transit center for the local bus service and numerous bars for gatherings. He didn't do the press conference so it's pretty iffy. I gotta pass by the Fieldhouse to go to my pharmacy now so it's going to be risky for me if he had it.

Duke and KU have both suspended all athletic activities. So if the NCAA goes ahead with a tourney, Duke and KU have said they won't be in it.

*long sigh* Well, I guess I'll see you guys in May. I mostly just visit this part of the forum and there'll be absolutely nothing to talk about.
NCAA would never run a tourney without Duke and KU.

Not postponed either, straight up cancelled. Did they give a reason why "postponing" wasn't an option? Like they couldn't delay it and wait and see what happens with the disease, like the pro leagues are doing? Also... since, technically, the final postseason game was won by Boston University, can they declare themselves Champions?

Probably because May is when finals are happening so they don't want to f*** with that at all.

But if we're biased towards major conferences, than Indiana University won their first championship since 1987.
