Modern wrestling is practically defined by title reigns being short. Champions rarely hold onto their prizes longer than a few months. Here we are, however, with every title being held by its inaugural champion. Who breaks the trend first?

The set up for Riho's title defence on January 1st feels like the sort of old school "and next week the tag titles are on the line" type announcement on RAW or Smackdown where your brain automatically goes "yep, title change next week".

Riho, to Statlander or Awesome Kong.

I have a hard time picking between Riho and SCU. Riho has kinda always felt like a placeholder champion - someone the booking team/EVPs know can bring it so that the title matches are good, but not who they really expect to carry the division long term. Still, can't help but feel like Statlander will be put off for a bit to be developed in feuds, but I might be biased because I feel very set in my opinion that Shida is the ideal champion right now while Statlander makes the non-title matches stronger.
SCU, on the other hand, feel like they got the reign (possibly originally envisioned with Daniels instead of Scorpio) as making sure they got one before 2/3 of the stable retires. Dark Order feel like a stronger challenger to them than Statlander does to Riho, and the win over the Bucks seems like it legitimizes the belts more than it legitimizes SCU - therefore setting them up to put someone over.

Nothing against Jericho because I think he’s doing great right now, but the sooner he drops the title to Moxley the happier I’ll be.

The Fallen Angel costs SCU the tag titles when he joins Dark Order.

I voted Riho, but both her and SCU need to drop the belts asap.

I say SCU, they’re just about the least interesting team there and I would assume that they’ll try to do something with Scorpio as a single soonish.
I doubt that Statlander is going to grab the title already. I suspect that Riho is going to hold onto that thing for a while.

They've already laid the groundwork for a Riho / Brandi feud so I don't think Riho's losing the belt yet, though she probably should. They desperately need to get the belts off SCU though. They have a killer tag division and yet the worst team in it is the one that the buck stops at. Just creating this void of apathy around the entire division and kind of dragging the whole thing's relevance down. Modern wrestling is practically defined by title reigns being short. Champions rarely hold onto their prizes longer than a few months. I... Dunno if I'd say that at all? If anything I feel like WWE in recent years, other than the US title that they have consistently zero idea what to do with and the tag titles that don't matter anyway, is defined by title reigns that are excruciating grinds because things of consequence are only supposed to happen in August and April.

I'm leaning SCU loses theirs first.
If Kris wins, awesome, but I think she's going to come up short.
I think Moxley has a real chance of dethroning Jericho, though it's not a given if they are wary of having two former WWE guys in a row,

Riho loses her title first (maybe as early as January 1st), IMHO.
