Not surprising this is the healthy thing to do.I was surprised how bitchy they were responding to people being totally pleasant but voicing some small concerns after the 1st episode of Dynamite.I realize if they act that way to people being shockingly nice just wait when people stop being nice and start being real.

Its gotta be eye opening to not be praised 100% of the time by your niche fanbase now they’ve got more eyes on them and people are being more critical instead of constantly praised your brilliance. Its’s not Reseda anymore guys.

You really think the bucks never got critics? Probably the indie team to get the most shit on twitter ever? They have busier responsabilities and a family and now everyone is gonna try armchair book on their timelines on top everything There is nothing to do " not being 100% praise" as you passively aggressively put.

I empathize. It's why I barely use Twitter and took a 3+ year long break from Facebook. Social media can be draining, especially for anyone who has any sort of mental health problems.

Twitter is slowly becoming the new TUmblr with the big fall Tumblr took and people migrating from it. Almost every day you see some of the absolute most braindead and vitrolic discourse over the most mundane shit, especially within the wrestling circles there, so yeah, this doesn't shock me in the least bit.

Young Bucks deleted their Twitter. What's wrong your ideas are terrible, and you don't like to hear about it?

It's pretty much what their dad already tweeted out that I posted in the other thread, though he used the words "toxicity" and "haters".

Update: Their Twitters will be run by a trusted third party from now on still promoting their stuff, but they're done personally interacting on Twitter as a whole apparently.

......but they are still on Instagram. Less easy access to them still compared to twitter, I guess. I enjoy using twitter to keep in touch with friends, but I also A. am not a celebrity, and B. block people very often, something most wrestlers can really do, given they use it for self-promotion, unless they're Dustin.

I know they have their fans, but a good chunk of their spots are very easy to mock and made them a target for the new eyes on them that don't get it. I think the large number of critiques/flames/gifs that started rolling in at an enormous rate was something they just couldn't handle and/or weren't prepared for. Suddenly, the majority of love-fest posts about them were running even with the nasty stuff. Add to that, people were going after them for things that didn't directly involve them like the less than professional production of the show, some really cringe-worthy in-ring spots, losing more than half their audience, etc. because of them being execs. They just put too much on their plate, so unless they have thick skin, it's probably best they get away from Twitter.
Honestly, the majority of wrestlers, athletes, and entertainers that run their own Twitter accounts seem to struggle with this, so it's not exclusive to the Bucks. Some can handle it (Corbin comes to mind), some can't (Rollins comes to mind). Probably the best thing to do what they did and turn it over to a moderator if the new wave of criticism and flaming was too tough for them to handle. A lot of people should follow that example.

It actually makes more sense for them to have an account for the both of them instead of individually, anyway. While they're both distinct human beings, their followers are most interested in what they do as a pair.
