The reports were there, he was going to win the title at Summerslam 2005 until everything went down.
If he did get the title, would it be a long run all the way until Wrestlemania 22 or would it be a transitional reign until Kurt Angle takes it off him and we still get the Orton-Mysterio-Angle triple threat?
Would you be in favour of a World Title run from Mr. Hassan? Maybe, Davari wins the IC title too.

No way. He would have been cutting in to Cena and Batista's time, which absolutely should not have happened.

he had the charisma but the whole character made too many people uncomfortable for too many different reasons. and, more importantly he just didn't have the in-ring skill to back it up. even during the roided up OVW clone factory era, that was always going to be in his way.

I really don’t want to imagine what sort of racism the WWE would’ve dug up just to get heat on his title reign, so it’s a no from me.

I think a Summerslam to Survivor Series title run would have been fine for him. A lot of booking changes would have had to have been changed well before that to make it work better, but I think he could have drawn decent heat. He'd have been on Smackdown so him cheating to take it from Batista and avoiding Big Dave for a few months could have worked well until Survivor Series where he finally falls to Batista, maybe in some kind of gimmick match, say a cage or a street fight.

I don't think so. He was limited, had zero respect from his peers (even if much of that was just them being assholes), and it'd have probably been Jinder before Jinder in terms of "not even remotely ready".

Given how hideous the material they gave Jinder was just recently, in 2005 this would have been some of the most offensive shit in wrestling history.

Would Hassan have been given stupid/offensive Material as a heel champion in 2005? Of course he would. But just imagine how much WORSE he'd be given now, with Vince completely set in his "F*** 'Em" mode, where he's actively TRYING to piss off and offend the fans.

Not in any long term sense. They'd already turned the character into evil 80s foreigner cliche. If you wanted to give him the belt for like a month to have Batista, Cena, or whoever take it off of him fine.
