Fiend v Roman rumoured @ WM. Roman push purposely cooled off

WWE is getting ready for WrestleMania 36 Season and soon we should get a better idea of what the top matches at the biggest show of the year will be.

It's now rumored that Roman Reigns vs. WWE Universal Champion "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt is the leading candidate for the SmackDown brand main event, according to a new report from Wrestlingnews.co. It's important to note that this should be taken as a rumor for now.

The report noted that the goal is to get Reigns back into the spot of being the top face of the company. Reigns' feud with King Baron Corbin was said to be just a placeholder feud, and officials have purposely cooled Reigns off before he gets the bigger push into WrestleMania season. The reported idea behind cooling The Big Dog off was to reverse some of the negative fan reactions he was getting before he took time off last year for his second battle with leukemia.

It was also noted that WWE officials are taking extra steps this year to prevent WrestleMania leaks.

Bray and Roman have actually had decent chemistry. Bray actually can work at a pace Roman can keep up with and they can have a good brawl.

Roman really hasn't had a crazy push since his return, Tampa is as close as he's going to get to a hometown Mania as well

My concerns are that it'll go on last when the crowd's super exhausted and it'll just be a regular one on one match with no weapons, when both guys are better suited for hardcore brawls. I think it might be okay if they make it no holds barred or whatever.

Go with my idea of having Roman lose in humiliating fashion, going into exile while The Fiend runs roughshod, being sought out to defeat The Fiend only to be found fat and out of shape,film a series of vignettes where he gets back into shape, comes back and defeats The Fiend at the next Mania, and I’m all in for the greatest storyline of all time.

Feud itself could be cool though I’d put money on WWE botching it and getting the crowd boo’ing Roman again. I’m curious how the story will go seeing as Romans character has been pretty consistent throughout.

Really, there's such a lack of guys who feel like actual stars right now (and that's squarely on the booking, not the talent) their best option would probably be Lesnar vs the Fiend as the 'Mania main event.

More likely we're ending up with Roman challenging one of them and the other facing a special attraction (Cena? CM PUNK???).

I’d rather they not feed The Fiend to Roman. I actually don’t automatically shut off the TV when Roman is on now, when I watch, which isn’t often. Was hoping we were passed they days.

Someone has to take Fiend down, wish it wasn’t Roman.
