Kobald was reportedly very abusive to his former wife and horrible to women, I can't believe it took this long for it to come out. Good riddance
Also according to Wiggy, Quackenbush was also a dick.

Yeah, sadly, I feel like "Quack is a dick" is another one of those open secrets in indy wrestling. Multiple people have mentioned him being incredibly obsessive about how the shows go and how he's stingy with pay. Plus there's the whole unconfirmed Saturyne thing.

For some reason, I'd be more shocked about Quack than lots of other people. He's been SO high profile as someone with authority over young people in the business for so long (and he's already got so many burned bridges), I feel like accusations would come out very quickly if they were gonna. Still could happen, of course, but I'd be surprised.

Yeah, I knew about the Kobald gaslighting back in 2012-13. There was a podcaster that he was keeping on the hook, and it was painful to see the gaslighting take place when he was already spoken for on top of it.

I'll be shocked if Quack comes out of this unscathed. Somebody is bound to step up and take him down for something.

Yeah there are enough rumors about Quack with women but ive heard some stories about him as a trainer to including one that caused Zandig to sever ties with Chikara when CZW and Chikara co owned the WrestleFsctory

The Cibernetico is happening shortly. I still haven't seen the matches from last week but:
Sonny DeFarge over Boomer Hatfield
Cabana Man Dan over Blank
FIST over Red Queen and One Eyed Jack (FIST has 3 points)
Green Ant over The Spoiler
Tunku Amir and Frey Nassar are missing. Whisper will have to take Tunku's place in the match.
Zero, Ibanez, Wells, Faraday, Quack, Mobius vs. Steel, Makowski, Kim, Whisper, Devantes, Ophidian
AND my feed just died just as Zero was about to give Lance a gutwrench suplex. It keeps replaying the last 32 seconds of the show...

Thankfully I'm back in.
Quack locks Devantes in an ankle lock. Kim: *to Makowski* "That's who Ophidian put his faith in? Why isn't it you?"
Kim: *to Devantes* Why do you let Ophidian talk to you like that?

Mike Quackenbush is the first man eliminated via ring out!
Ophidian then knocks out Mobius with a package piledriver

Zero gets pummeled by the entire Crucible team but manages to knockout Makowski with That Japanese Move
This leaves him open to get tapped out by an armbar by Kim shortly though
Whisper taps out Ibanez with a half crab. It's 5 on 2
Devantes TKO's Wells and Faraday is left alone. He TKO's Farday. The Crucible now has to fight each other.
Ophidian enters. Devantes kneels and eliminates himself. Lance Steel does the same. As does Kim. Whisper is left. HE FIGHTS.
Whisper eventually knocks out Ophidian to win the Cibernetico.

And now Chikara says that's the end of season 21.
As for the Quack stuff....I'd be slightly surprised if he's brought up in this. He's definitely a control freak and a dick, and there have been many stories there. But I'm not sure that I've ever heard that he's abusive in any way.

Chikara's storytelling is so weird. The Whisper thing is like absolutely the least interesting part of the Crucible for me, so of course it gets pushed right to the top.

The Whisper thing was interesting when it was going on last year. Then they dropped it, and then they suddenly brought it back again. And I'm not totally sure why you had all the guys at the watch party celebrating Whisper winning. Chikara was still utterly routed.

Yeah like Whisper rose up against his oppressor? But CHIKARA was destroyed with four Crucible members to spare, two of which surrendered willingly to Ophidian. CHIKARA got humiliated here.

Kim's thing is way more interesting, and Whisper's thing was only interesting with the part that involved Kim. I guess they're trying to, like, switch their roles? Kim's the one in everyone's ear, trying to play it subtly and destroy it from within, while Whisper is resisting openly and has run out of patience? But it's still really weird. It'd also help if Whisper was halfway decent in the ring, gotta say. Other than Steel, he is easily the weakest on that whole team, and he wins?

Assuming it's been the same worker since day one, yeah, Lance Steel has never been a ring general. He locks in the Boston Crab as like 80 percent of his moveset. Best run was with Knight Eye with Jolly Rodger, that was a fun team because being in a team helped mask their in ring weaknesses.

Well, according to a Tweet thread involving Jolly Roger, this Lance is not Black Knight/KEFTPG Lance. And he does a few moves that neither previous Lance did, so I'm guessing current Lance is not either of the previous Lances. So we've had 3 guys all portray the same gimmick, and none of them have actually been good.

I am fully okay with them bringing back "Lance Steel" and revealing he's Whisper's brother, because it so nicely ties together to Kim and then potentially to Jigsaw. I am also okay with them letting someone put on the costume and half-ass it: the character is wearing steel armor, he can be stiff and ungainly and limited without it looking too bad. Should probably put someone else on the team that wins king of trios and stuff, but the idea isn't awful.
