We all know that the Fiend eventually has to be beaten, as great as the gimmick is, but how should WWE go about it without the person beating Bray getting heat because of it? If the plan for WM36 is indeed Roman Reigns vs. The Fiend, how could it be done without getting Roman booed again?

Squashed by Heath Slater at a House Show next week and the Fiend is never seen again

To me I think it just depends on how they book Roman after he beats The Fiend. I don't think the moment itself will be shit on since it's going to basically be in his hometown and he still has the fans' sympathy after having to give up the title, but if his first challenger's Corbin and they start booking him as the funny ass kicker who'll also f*** your girl like was at his most hated it could be a problem.

- Loses at WM to Reigns - Feuds with other faces like Kofi and such for 1 year - Lose a WM match again against a big face - Gets drafted to Raw - Works his way up by beating faces until he becomes Universal Champion - Rinse and repeat with the Universal Title until he's drafted back to SDL - Turns face on SDL

If the act's less hot at Mania have him lose, preferably to someone other than Roman but it'll be Roman. If it's still got a ton of momentum, have him win at Mania and then have whoever wins Money in the Bank cash in on Funhouse Bray.

Anyone notice The Fiend has essentially sent the people he’s beaten/targeted back into their old gimmicks:
-Finn back to NXT and back to being closer to a Prince Devitt heel -Miz back to a heel teaming with John Morrison -Bryan back to the American Dragon version -Rollins back to a heel in a trios faction
Even Lawler is back to being a heel color commentator on Raw.

I see someone watches C Wrestling UK's YouTube channel as well. Add Bryan reviving the Yes Movement after his encounters. (And if you're still clinging onto him having some alliance with Liv Morgan, maybe she embraced her sexuality after letting him in? ;-)) It's either that or he takes something from them for himself, as I theorized. Foley and Kane, who haven't reappeared on WWE TV, are prime examples...Fiend now has Foley's finisher and Kane's simulations of "hell." Kurt Angle is the only wild card left. (unless you count Bray's insincere life lessons on the FFH segments) And what about Braun?

Rather than it just being old gimmicks I like the theory that he reverts people to their true self. Thus why Roman’s the endgame, cause Roman’s been pretty consistently his “true self” throughout his WWE run.

In a perfect world, Mustafa Ali would be the endgame, since his “true self” is being the light, which would be a nice counter to the Fiend’s darkness.

I like wacky shit.
How would I “kill The Fiend off”?
It’s simple. I would have him lose the title to somebody like Aleister Black. But not in a normal match.... that would be completely uncharacteristic.
I would go all out with this one.
Have another “House of Horrors” match and this time, DO IT RIGHT!
Make the compound look like actual hell. Have fire, smoke and all those other theatrics to make it look like the Fiends playground.
Aleister Black wins the title after kicking The Fiend into a burning fire.
The Fiend is no more. We have a new Champion.
Where does Bray go from here? Simple. He “thanks” Aleister for exorcising him and we get a face “Funhouse” Bray Wyatt, complete with children coming to the ring with him and overall silliness like that.

With how much emphasis there has been on the mask, my bet would go to it being destroyed and Bray is rid of the Fiend entity, losing all of his strength and invulnerability, and inevitably turning into a sympathetic face whom atones for what he had done.
Time passes, Bray tries to build himself back up, but something isn't right and he is haunted by what the mask made him do. Fast-forward to find out Bray and the Fiend share a symbiotic relationship, and the character becomes a complex "Venom-esque" being.
At first Bray is conflicted as he blurs the lines of face and heel, but eventually is able to control the Fiend within, just in time for Wrestlmania 37.

men in black turn up, use the nueraliser on the audience and it's never mentioned again. That would explain why I don't remember much that happened in the WWE from the '00s beyond 2002.
