Such a tough question but I’ll answer with Holy Wars by Megadeth. Which is weird because they are my least favourite of the big 4. Painkiller, Davidian & Ace Of Spades are all contenders too. Me when I saw Davidian in there As someone who really likes that song... yeah no. This is too general a question though. You'd have to break it down by genre because how the hell do you even begin to compare say "Breaking The Law" with "The Loss and Curse of Reverence or "The Philosopher"?

It's like asking who is the greatest wrestler of all-time. There are just too many variables at play. Start giving more specific criteria like subgenres or eras and I might have an easier time choosing.

Tornado of Souls by Megadeth, for me. I could listen to it all day and never get tired of it. Greatest solo of all time. Only negative are the vocals, but they don't bother me anymore.

This is a hard question.
My first thought is Master of Puppets. That is just a flat-out beast/masterpiece of a song. That entire album is perfect, but damn, that song is amazing.

I dare anyone to listen to Rainbow's Stargazer and say that one isn't the greatest.

Crazy Train for me.
Though honestly what even IS metal? Every time I've ever mentioned something as metal some metalhead has told me it isn't really metal, it's *insert increasingly annoyingly specific sub-genre here*

I dare anyone to listen to Rainbow's Stargazer and say that one isn't the greatest. That's definitely up there for sure. Dio's vocals in that song in pure divine. I dare anyone not to get moved emotionally or attempt to sing along while failing. I can agree with this statement one hundred percent. I'd also want to add "Beyond The Realms of Death" by Judas Priest.

Geoff Tate lost a lot of his voice, as did Rob Halford. Even the Air Raid Siren himself, Bruce Dickinson, has had to tone it down somewhat. But not Ronnie, he sounds exactly the same from Elf to Heaven & Hell.

But seriously though, it's Nookie by Limp Bizkit. Neat trivia for that song is that Wes Borland utilized a customized 4 string guitar to record that song. Side note about Borland, I noticed that his name was used in an early episode of NCIS. It was the episode in the second season where DiNozzo is infected with a modified version of the plague from an envelope mailed to NCIS. When the woman who sent it was arrested, she realized that someone at NCIS had been infected. She said, "I hope it was Wes Borland." I double checked and there is no character on the show by that name, so maybe she just hated the band that much? I know, it is completely off topic but when will I ever get to bring that up in a conversation?

Well, coincidentally isn't the only Queensryche materials that he has the rights to from the two Mindcrime albums?

Well, coincidentally isn't the only Queensryche materials that he has the rights to from the two Mindcrime albums? The first one, but he can still play other Queensryche songs at his live shows. It's weird how similar Queensryche's breakup was to Pink Floyd. An egomaniac front man gets kicked out and retains only the rights to their well known concept album. If you follow Geoff Tate's interviews, it's funny how he has steadily softened on the idea of reuniting with Queensryche. Probably as his solo stuff hasn't exactly set the world on fire.
