The first one is glorious and I will watch. The only one that remotely exists in a similar vein is Guy's Grocery Games.
The latter? Eh, wasn't those types of contests what helped kill interest in the show in the first place?

Rehashing old ideas. It's clear that daytime TV is dead.

Millionaire’s done pretty well here since it was brought back. Although a lot of people dislike Clarkson (justifiably), he seems to have won over a lot of them with the job he’s doing as host.

I’m so here for the Supermarket Sweep reboot. I had the greatest day of my life a couple of months ago when I found a channel on Pluto TV that was exclusively showing Supermarket Sweep episodes.
I wouldn’t mind seeing them bring back that similar show that had mall storefronts on two levels. I can’t remember the name, but Dee Bradley Baker was the host’s sidekick.

Thank god Regis is too old to host, I still hold a grudge against him after talking Norm MacDonald out of gambling on the million dollar question (which he ended up guessing correctly)

JD Roth needs to bring back FunHouse. JD says he wants to bring it back. It's just a matter of finding a place for it to land and building the massive set to do it in.

From the clips I've seen, he's shockingly good. Like, it could have backfired horribly but he seems to at least realise what show he's doing rather than make it "Top Gear but a Game Show". Also watched enough Kimmel to know that he seems like a real good fit for the American version.

Huge fan of Supermarket Sweep, but man after moving cross-country to a far more expensive part of the country, I can see just how annoying it is to know prices of certain items and have it WAY off due to the pr9ces used on the show.
That said, I'm totally down for a reboot, if only to see how they handle the priciest ticket items they always go crazy over. "Stack them turkeys and hams," fools!

Too bad they cant do the original concept for Supermarket Sweep where it was held at actual Supermarkets, but it would probably cost too much. I also wonder if they'll use actual name brands, or just make generic brands (or even just use prop grocery items, it's not like the contestants were able to take the groceries home with them AFAIK).

Good point. Look at The Price is Right these days, and how most grocery items are just given a brief generic description. SS could probably show the labels/boxes, name and all, just not mention said name like TPIR does. And the budget may be needed if Leslie Jones eats the scenery on a regular basis ;-)

Rehashing old ideas. It's clear that daytime TV is dead. Oh please Games shows have been rebooted decades after their first run all the time. See The Price is Right and Jeopardy. Hell in the article SMS was originally a 60s show.
