Homerism is a funny word but in reality, QBs win in the NFL, Mahomes is the best one stop playing. The Titans just proved the QB thing to be false by not just stopping the best QB in the league but also by running it like it was 1973. I think this is more of an outlier.

Best ones don't win every year If that was the case, Rodgers would have won a few And Brady would have nine instead of six. And Brees would still be in the hunt this year. And Matt Ryan would have won two.

Jackson is a playmaker, he's however not the passer Mahomes is.

maybe this is just another example of the mobile rushing quarterback not being conducive to winning in the playoffs.

It is but it proves a point A decent QB can become hot and carry a good team to the championship. Kapernick was never fully great but he brought them to the SB, Flacco went on the run of a lifetime, Eli HOF career is based off two great playoff runs, Foles is the recent example It is no coincidence that whenever the team who wins the SB, the QB is all of a sudden considered one of the best in the league despite a few hot games

We are not discounting them. But your team are in the same situation the Steelers were in two years ago. A #2 seed at home against a team that beat them convincingly at your home in the regular season. Care to guess how that Steelers team did? Don't forget the past and don't count yourselves the winner of the AFC yet. You have 2 teams to still beat. That was a very fluky game...it was 17-3 when the officials decided it was cool to pick up a flag to let a free play INT stand, literally one of the worst calls of the year. You are going with excuses now. Okay, everyone else here me and remember this, if this Chiefs do not win the Super Bowl, I am going to soooooooooooooooooooooo laugh in this guy's face. When I do that, I don't want any of you other Chiefs to take it personally that I am laughing at you. I am not. I am only laughing at Mecca because this guy has it coming for all his ignorance of the past.

I think the Texans are, bar none, the worst team still in the playoffs, but if Andy Reid can't overcome his own self (and Reid has pulled a few boners), how are you going to handle that? I'm not advocating for a helping heap of hubris, but the playoffs aren't always a rubber stamp. I've been through that countless times.

Reid is the only coach that could f*** this up lol He has 20 years of a track record that is an advantage and a nuisance Him and Mahomes right now are the best coach and QB tandem(an argument can be made for Carroll/Wilson) but in a one and done format that is not always the winning formula unless you're Brady/Bill

Yea, how many times has Dungy/Peyton been pegged as they will win a championship this year and in their time together they "only" walked away with one

I don’t check in on the sports threads very often, but it seems like every time I do, there’s some foolishness going on here.
My Vikes got crushed again today. I’m used to it. When you’ve had your team fail so spectacularly so many times, you become numb to the disappointment.

They look flashy, and rack up stats/fantasy points and awards. Yet never win the super bowl.

QB's win in the regular season, defense wins in the playoffs. Period.

The year we went 14-2 and Vanderjagt kicked wide right against the Steelers, who went on to win Super Bowl XL. When Peyton Manning threw six interceptions against the Chargers. The numerous times we lost to the Patriots. Heck, we barely showed up in Super Bowl XLIV and the Saints steamrolled us. "Pride goeth before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall."

Unless the Chiefs have a horrible year or Mahomes looks average they won't fire Reid especially if he keeps taking them to the AFC championship as you can preach "one more year"
