You would think that taking 65 pain pills a day would have the opposite effect and wouldn’t dull any pains at all. Eventually you build up resistance or tolerance I should say so the amounts keep increasing In the end, it may not have dulled the pain after a while but it helped him forget due to being high off his ass I'm surprised his organs isn't wrecked

Thankfully he got himself right and seems to be in a good place now. However 4 broken necks seems to be unrealistic. If he had a broken neck before the 06 Royal Rumble as he said. He went about six months without a break with it, adding all the other injuries that lead him taking off. But there wasn't a ton of down time before he went to TNA. I think it was like 3 months before he debut.

I can base that on personal experience in fact. I meet Angle twice and the experience was night and day from the two. The first time I meet him was during a TNA Fanfest leading into Lockdown 09. Angle was quiet and really seemed out of it. Even though he had one of the best matches of the night the next night after I had meet him. You can tell something was off, his eyes looked glazed. The second time was the Summer before he returned to the WWE to go Hall of fame. He did a Q and A before hand. You could just tell he was more clear headed and was throwing hints about the WWE return than, saying stuff like my last main goal is to go into the WWE hall of fame. When I had my turn to meet him than, he was way more talkative and in a good place. The first time it seem like he wasn't even sure where he was or what he was doing. Second time he was fully aware and looks with it, with normal eyes.

It doesn’t help that he got stopped by the cops multiple times during his time in TNA and Dixie did nothing He def looks a lot more healthy and happy now and is in a better place

We weren't in the office. Vince may not have been in the mind, to actually fight the guy. He could have been trying to send him a message. He probably knew the texts weren't coming from a genuine feeling, but of someone who was clearly not sober, and he had to counter that.

I’m glad Angle is in a better place these days, it seems like he was on a pretty dark path for quite awhile

I don’t doubt that he was on some shit, but numbers like 65 painkillers a day just do not seem physically possible. At that level you aren’t even getting over the previous day’s high before you’re starting again. No matter how stout your constitution I doubt a human being could survive that lifestyle for long, particularly if you’re drinking a lot on top of it, as Angle apparently was.

Plus, you know, dozens of security guards incase Kurt took him up on the offer.

Which is one of the things WWE was supposedly afraid of for a while that he was going to die there and if you look at how TNA did not curb his behavior it is amazing he is still alive and in the condition he is in

The way I look at it, these guys do some "superhuman" type of stuff in the ring, so we be surprised to hear they do crazy, "superhuman" stuff out of the ring as well.

Vince is clearly on another planet with his work ethic and how he sees and wants people to be, but in his own weird and probably dangerous way, I do believe he genuinely cares about his 'boys.' I just think he's from a place where emotions and weakness are bad, unless you fight them head on. He'll give you help, and do so full on Vince style, but only if you accept you need it and want to fight it. Vince has no time for sensitivity.

Vince, as much of a hyper-masculine nutcase as he is, has a real love for his guys that he helps grow. This comes off more as a tough love/intervention style thing that has that unique absurdity that can only come from Vince McMahon.
