I watched 7 episodes of this in my flight back from Dominican this past February (AirTransat had it as an option to watch during the flight.)
It kept my sanity because I hate flying, but honestly I didn't get home and race to finish the rest of it.

It was a decent show, but once it moved nights and was only on Peacock, I didn't watch it. NBC was still airing it, not just Peacock. They were airing it on Friday, though, which is the second worst night for TV after Saturday.

Just had a moment of clarity that there's one specific thing here that I just am absolutely lost on WHY DID HE EVEN f***ING BUY THE XFL IN THE FIRST PLACE 😭 The last 2-3 years of Rock's life have been the definition of a man high off his own supply. Becoming the most well-paid actor in Hollywood isn't anything to take lightly, but it was at that point Rock ceased to consider himself an actor and became a brand to be packaged and sold. Problem is, nobody's really buying. He's over exposing himself somebody might have to tell him to stop saying yes to every movie role. Dude has become worse than Arnold was in the 90's.

Dude is still making more money that any of us will see in 5 lifetimes so it doesn’t really matter though. Even if he just had his Under Armour endorsement/brand he’d be set for life and that combined with his ability to walk into any wrestling promotion in the world and name his price and it’s not like he’s ever going to be struggling. 🤷🏻♂️ While you're not wrong, and Rock has reached a level of success where he'd have to work really hard to dry up all his income streams, he has reached the point where simply having his name on the marquee isn't enough by itself to get people interested the way they were back when he was Hollywood's #1 leading man. As has been said elsewhere, he's overexposed himself.

The Rock hasn't had a good 8 months. Black Adam bombing at the box office. XFL losing 60 million. Young Rock cancelled. If this keeps up he'll have to resort to being in a Cannonball Run reboot.

There was never a realistic way he wasn't going to lose money on the XFL to begin with. I believe some teams in MLS are starting to get close to making a profit, but that's after 20 years. Young Rock... eh, three seasons is a pretty successful run for a TV show. I dunno, if these are his disasters the dude is doing ok.

Doesn't anyone or any entity that's successful need a failure for a tax write off anyway?

I don't understand why people are shocked over the XFLs losses. I was expecting to see a big loss.

XFL isnt the biggest american football league, the only way XFL could have succeeded is if it was a lower league and they went the european football route of promotion/relegation

Just to be clear, the point was there was no way on earth The Rock wouldn't have expected big losses for the XFL in its first year.
