Rich guy on top of the company unaffected by problems with employees says nobody actually affected by said problems from employees.

Yeeesh.
I've went from hyped to "REALLY F***ING HYPED, back to hyped, then nervous, then anxious, then wary, then apprehensive, then...kind of sleepy, then worried, and then concerned.
Now I'm pretty much at "eh, I'll wait for a sale most likely".

Between all the hype and now all the delays I am vast approaching the mindset that no matter how much more polish they try and put on this there is no way it lives up to the hype.
Meanwhile aint heard a peep out of watch dogs legion and that is gaining back my attention.

"I changed my life and finances for this game" = taking a day or two off work to play a game that you can probably cancel and still work. Yep, total justified reaction. I mean yeah, it kinda sucks to wait 21 more days, but getting upset to the point where death threats are happening is ridiculous. They're doing this to make a better game, you dorks. And directing those threats at the poor bastards who are having to work 100-hour weeks is just the icing on the extremely shitty cake. Honestly, being a game developer sounds like a miserable, soul-crushing existence. We really need to go back to a time where smaller, more budget-friendly games that people can buy, play for a while, put down, and play a few months later can become popular for devs again. Now it seems, in the corporate gaming world, you're either making AAA blockbusters or shovelware licensed junk, and both of them are soulless in their own way.

This is precisely why I stick to retro games these days. Eventually I'll pony up on a modern title like Final Fantasy 7 Remake, or Resident Evil 3-- ironically both remakes of retro games. If I do get Cyberpunk 2077 it will be well after the December 2020 release date, probably when the next 'Cyberpunk'-type overhyped AAA title comes out and I can get a good sale price on it (also need to upgrade my graphics card/CPU so that will probably come first).

Managed to move my holiday, so that was fortunate.

Amazon updated my estimated delivery date on my preorder, it's now the week of Christmas.
I'm honestly not expecting it to drop 'til sometime next year at this rate. I've got Amalur Re-Reckoning and P5R awaiting me in the Christmas haul this year, so I'm OK with that.

I guess as far as level of interest goes, I'm kinda placing Cyberpunk on the same level most games are on; I'll get it when it's cheaper or if I'm bored and have $60. It looks cool and all, but just doesn't strike me as something I *need* to play immediately.
Or I dunno, maybe I'll just get it on PS5.

I’ve got such a backlog I’ll definitely be waiting. Hell, Witcher 3 is itself in my backlog.

Sadly that role seems to have been taken up by indie games now. There is no “middle class” AAA game anymore, outside a few examples from Japan.

Copies are already out and about in the world and gameplay is starting to get leaked.

So copies are floating out in the ether. Same as Witcher 3 actually with a slipcover and Projekt Red throwing in a bunch of trinkets including a map, stickers and a compendium.
If it's delayed now, I will f***ing cackle.

A video/streaming embargo has been placed pre-full release. How very punk.

As they should.
Honestly, this probably wouldn't be in effect if the game wasn't delayed so much. Since it was, they don't want to take any chances and have some Joe Random try and gain notoriety by leaking the game outright after so many years of development and delay.

I’m trying, but I’m just not getting any hype for this game. I thought it would come as release approaches... but nothing. I think I’m just going to wait until the PS5 version drops in a few months (maybe?)

Yea hype is kicking in from the tid bits I am catching while dodging spoilers out here like Vince dodging creativity.
Gonna be spending a good few hours in that customization so likely wont even get proper into the game untill 2nd day of my playthrough.

I'm slightly worried that the review embargo seems really close to release date, that usually means "We're hiding something!".
