Weird thing is Cyberpunk apparently lets you play around with your gender in character creation in ways beyond the typical binary. I don't know of any specific evidence of CDPR's own transphobia, but that is disappointing to hear.
They tie gender to voice in the game, which is 100% not how it works and pretty gross when they could easily have let you select gender and have it seperate. There's also the highly fetishistic 'Chromanticore' advert (because comparing trans people to mythological monster hybrids is lovely, and totally fine to promote your game with cis women wearing strapons for cosplay), and then there's their... history with social media, not even including their courting of the Gamergate crowd: Eugh, that's gross.
Go figure that Saints Row still has the best character creator in that regard.

Here we go again How is CD Projekt Red going to get by til December now? Witcher 3 sales? Cyberpunk now has to come out on the same day as The Medium, Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia and a week after Dragon Quest XI S: Definitive Edition for PS4 and John Wick Hex

So, basically no competition then?

So, basically no competition then? Guess they realized that coming out on the same month as Call of Duty Cold War, Assassians Creed Valhalla, and Yakuza: Like a Dragon would be bad for business, well, no competition for Cyberpunk in December outside of the PS4 release of the DQXI S: Definitive Edition PS4 provided we DON'T get any surprise announcements for December game releases however, the game will now come out on the week of the 79th anniversary of the pearl harbor attack, the 40th anniversary of John Lennon's death and the game will now come out on the 4th anniversary of the Istanbul bombing soccer tragedy and the one year anniversary of the Ostrava hospital attack

I have a feeling that Cd Projeckt Red would be confident of putting their game up against anything on the market.

Well this gives me more time to mull over parts for a new PC build that I'm pondering.

And of course the top reply is someone justifying it.

According to Jason Schreier, one dev just did a 100 hour work week, which means that person right now is working 16-hour days 6 days a week or 14-hour days 7 days week. Multiply that person's hours per week by the number of people at CDPR working at a similar pace right now, and that's a lot of crunch.

"I changed my life and finances for this game" = taking a day or two off work to play a game that you can probably cancel and still work.
Yep, total justified reaction. I mean yeah, it kinda sucks to wait 21 more days, but getting upset to the point where death threats are happening is ridiculous. They're doing this to make a better game, you dorks.

And directing those threats at the poor bastards who are having to work 100-hour weeks is just the icing on the extremely shitty cake. Honestly, being a game developer sounds like a miserable, soul-crushing existence.

It's not that I think social media shouldn't exist, but that Twitter and Facebook still haven't clamped down on this shit is shameful.

It's not that I think social media shouldn't exist, but that Twitter and Facebook still haven't clamped down on this shit is shameful. Twitter's handling of abuse is just the worst. About three weeks ago I reported a tweet directed to Anthony Rapp complaining that his "ugly f****t character and his ugly f****t boyfriend" epitomised everything that was wrong with modern Star Trek. It's still up as of two days ago. Meanwhile one of my friends got put in Twitter jail for calling a certain politician a certain C-word, despite not tagging the post or directing it at said politician. The post was live for less than an hour.

I wonder what is the closest thing we're going to have to Cyberpunk 2077 next month now?

Watch after all the years of hype and delays, this game will end up being extremely average. Also f*** those morons sending death threats.

Guessing it's good news for Yakuza: Like a Dragon, I also think there should be some sort of make good (A collaboration with a mobile game for example) to make up for Cyberpunk's 3 week delay

I wonder what is the closest thing we're going to have to Cyberpunk 2077 next month now? A horrific dystopia run by corporations? We won't have to look too far atm to find something similar.

Is there a game that we can pretend it's Cyberpunk we can play next month to tide us over?
