Too bad that this and Captain Marvel 2 will be Spidey's last MCU movies before the property in live action goes back to the company behind Spider-Man 3 and Amazing 2. The only Sony-Spidey movie I'd have faith in would be a Spiderverse sequel.

I imagine the relationship between Sony/Marvel is going to go a bit longer. Especially if Tom Holland is able to bridge communications again.

They can and likely will renegotiate a new deal again in a couple years. Tony Stark made Spider-Man an official Avenger in Infinity War. I would imagine Marvel will want him for the next incarnation of the Avengers.

Here's hoping this one isn't all about Tony Stark. Iron Boy is a much less interesting character than Spider-Man.

Unless they are under direct control of Feige vision, it is loosely associated and that's about it

Unless they are under direct control of Feige vision, it is loosely associated and that's about it I'll personally consider it canon as long as it doesn't contradict the Marvel Studios movies, kinda like how the tv shows take place in that universe but aren't necessary viewing for the films.

I'm disappointed it's not Spider-Man: Homeless.

I’ve enjoyed MCU Spider-Man. The cast, the stories, everything. I think they’re great.
But the character is so far removed from any previous version of Spider-Man it’s practically a different character all together.
A large part of the charm of Spider-Man came from him being a hard-luck loner for most of the first 20+ years of his existence. He had the responsibility of being a superhero while struggling to help make ends meet for his family and he couldn’t tell *anybody* about it, so he had to carry that burden all alone. Since *nobody* inside or outside the superhero community knew his ID, Spider-Man was never fully trusted by most heroes and Peter Parker often came off as a selfish and irresponsible jerk.
By time Pete was able to let people in on his secret, readers felt like he’d earned it, like he deserved it.

I hate that we'll never get a proper "Spiderman as an accomplished adult" movie. After the kid or struggling young adult version, and before the Into the Spider-Verse version of Spiderman.
I get it. They take the one aspect they want to market and then proceed to ride it until the wheels fall off.
And I don't want to have to play a video game that I would suck at to get a good story,

I've kind of wondered if I should get around to watching Far From Home, but I found Homecoming just intolerable to sit through (granted that was mostly a mix of its general plotlessness and finding the only entertaining character to be Vulture) and really even in his other MCU appearances I find this incarnation of Peter consistently annoying.
I dunno. If nothing else I can't imagine it's the worst thing ever - I really can't see a scenario in which there could ever possibly be a worse Spider-Man movie than Amazing 2. Plus hey, Mysterio's always neat, and my friend who also disliked Homecoming liked it so hey, maybe I'd warm up to it.
Granted it'd probably help a ton if this character did anything besides worship Tony Stark, given I basically stopped finding Tony remotely likable somewhere around Iron Man 2.

With the current state of the world, it should be called Spider-Man: Homeschooled.
