Amazing Spider-Man 2 rightly get a lot of flack, but it does one thing *perfectly*. Spider-Man saves every single bystander. Up until that movie, modern superhero movies had innocent people getting offed left and right in big action scenes. ASM2 shows how meticulous Peter is at making sure everybody is safe.
He saves *everyone* in the movie. Which makes the ending that much more heartbreaking.
Plus the costume was simply beautiful.

I've kind of wondered if I should get around to watching Far From Home, but I found Homecoming just intolerable to sit through (granted that was mostly a mix of its general plotlessness and finding the only entertaining character to be Vulture) and really even in his other MCU appearances I find this incarnation of Peter consistently annoying. I dunno. If nothing else I can't imagine it's the worst thing ever - I really can't see a scenario in which there could ever possibly be a worse Spider-Man movie than Amazing 2. Plus hey, Mysterio's always neat, and my friend who also disliked Homecoming liked it so hey, maybe I'd warm up to it. Granted it'd probably help a ton if this character did anything besides worship Tony Stark, given I basically stopped finding Tony remotely likable somewhere around Iron Man 2. What I liked about Far From Home, is they actually gave Peter's classmates character, especially with MJ. Felt like they had no idea what to do with her in HC, but in FFH she was great. Mysterio is one of the best MCU villains, probably helps that he's played by Jake Gyllenhaal who always makes a fantastic performance.

The ASM1 one rubbed me wrong, looked like a Rey Mysterio knockoff instead. If you combined Tobey Peter with Andrew Spidey, we may have had something.

Oh goodie, there's a thread for the movie already. Glad I didn't make one for the Jamie Foxx news.

I have nothing against Jamie Foxx, but his Electro was pretty much the most forgettable character in the movie.

In other news, Venom WILL cross over into the Sony/MCU Spideyverse...
...only it'll be Topher Grace.

I enjoyed Amazing Spiderman 1 a lot more than I thought I would, while 2 wasn't good. To me Andrew Garfield has been the best on-screen Spidey, and quite underrated, much better than the current holder of the role.

Ok, I think it's clear Wandavision bleeds into Doctor Strange and that'll bleed over into this film, this is them setting up a live-action Spider-Verse

Just throwing this out there with the Electro news...stay with me here. With the multiverse opening up with Endgame/WandaVision/Dr. Strange 2 and rumors that Toby Maguire (and maybe Andrew Garfield) could pop up in Dr. Strange 2...
...how about Spidey 3 ends up being a live action Spiderverse where Holland, Maguire and Garfield end up facing a Sinister Six formed from villains from all three film series?

Maybe Foxx will be a good Electro in a movie that doesn't suck.

They've got Vulture, Shocker and Scorpion. Add in Mysterio who faked his death and you have five of the Sinister Six

Jonah Jameson seems like a different version then the Sony Spider-Man one so it could be something similar. Between the upcoming Multiverse and fallout from Infinity War/Endgame it’s pretty easy to explain away

Well, with 7 live action Spider-Man movies in the past 19 years from 3 distinctly different series it’s a understandable slip up

Jamie Foxx is a great actor and he only took that part in the first place because he loves Spider-Man. I've got no problem with him getting another chance in a way better movie.
