Why do they always skip shows that were tagged as special events even though they were part of the regular broadcast schedule? That's just going to make people confused.

It's a good special too. We didn't have cable where we lived when I was a kid. One of my dad's coworkers happened to randomly tape it and gave it to my dad to make a copy for me. This was already after Survivor Series happened though so I get home from school and it's on in my parents' bedroom. I see Smash and Ted DiBiase wrestling and I assumed it's from Survivor Series. I immediately ran out of the room because I didn't want the rest of the event spoiled for me. I find out later that it was just the Showdown and felt really dumb.

Sounds like that 11/6/89 episode is a must watch. I HAVE to see that Jim Neidheart singles match.

I know I'll be in the minority with this, But I've found the episodes with Piper in them less enjoyable than the shows with just Heenan and Monsoon.

The flow of the show isn't the same and too much of it focuses on piper. Hell maybe I don't like change. I also hated when TNT added Shaq to their basketball pre and post game shows.

I was a huge Piper fan but hated him on Primetime.He has such an overpowering personality and 2 hours of him is way too much.When I do Primetime rewatches I usually skip the Piper shows because it killed what I loved about the show.

In the minority, I think more people feel the same way. Don't mess with the formula. As far as third wheels go, I don't know who was worse Piper or Rob Bartlett I mean "Not" Vince McMahon

Piper for some reason was a terrible commentator in the WWF, while he was very good in Mid Atlantic and from what I hear he was good in Georgia. I don't know what happened, other than drugs.

If you going to show random episodes, why isn't the Perfect face turn episode on it. It is the most impact on story line an episode of Prime Time has ever had which ironically aired on this date 28 years ago.
