WOuld XFL succeed if it used its league to usurp college football? Pay kids right out of High School. Do you think giving a kid $50K to play football benefits them more than going to get an "education" at Alabama? Would you want $50,000 right now or tens of millions of dollars two years from now? The NFL teams aren't going to be wasting their top draft picks on XFL kids. NFL has the rule kids need to be 2 years out of HS to get drafted. 2 years making money in XFL, or two years making nothing at college? Can you think of any other way the XFL has an advantage?

Kinda off topic question, you know how the WWE loves to send a Championship Belt replica to the winners of every sports championship? If the Jacksonville Jaguars ever won the Super Bowl would they send one to the Kahns? I kinda want to see that happen.

Has anyone called Kyle Shanahan the “new” Andy Reid? Because that’s what he is.

AEW might as well be the blob/cooties in the eyes of WWE brass.)

Remember. As of midnight, we're all 0-0 again. #HotTake; The Niners are going to be the Rams of the 2020 season. A faceplant and move on from JimmyG. They’ll finish behind the Cardinals.

Has anyone called Kyle Shanahan the “new” Andy Reid? Because that’s what he is. I'd say he's worse. Reid's deal was that his teams always came up short in the big games. Shanahan gets his teams to big games, performs, and then pisses it away in the last 10 minutes. It's way more impressive, less excusable to get to leads late in Super Bowls and...do whatever he did. I mean, I would normally call it a turtle, but that's an insult to turtles.

Reid it wasn’t always a generalized coming up short—he’s always put himself in those situations with bizarre time management skills (time out usage, challenges, play calling etc), that’s why he was always personally pointed to. With Shanahan it really seems like he has smart play calling inventive schemes to get a lead...then doesn’t use them after that. I hate to be dramatic but it’s like he gets scared. They’re very similar, but Reid proved that his play calling could change based on talent, thus being more adaptive.

They’re very similar, but Reid proved that his play calling could change based on talent, thus being more adaptive. His teams have never been great at running a hurry-up offense, or managing TOs. But that's always been secondary to his teams just coming up short going back 20 years. Not as much some of the Smith Chiefs or his late Eagles teams, but probably an 8 year run with Philly and the last couple years with KC were all Reid in a Shottenheimer role. Put together really good teams that were largely underperforming in the playoffs, and at their very best, were just a possession or two short of winning against teams who actually got over the hump. His 1-4 record in conference championships speaks to his biggest rep coming into this season.

The kids at every program are getting paid. Going to the XFL would be a paycut for a lot of them.

Must be asked, now that he's won it - Are the Andy Reid memes done for? The man at least partially redeemed himself. Yes. He did it. He won the big one.
