I like SCU, but it was definitely time to get the belt moving. Not expecting the title will on their waists for long, but Kenny and Page with the belts does bring me joy. Wonder if PNP beat them, Lucha Bros, Best Friends, Dark Order, or what. Might even be a face team, really. The Dark Order, imo, seem like the other obvious choice of beating Hangman/Omega aside from the Bucks. It’s been established that TDO is targeting both guys, and what better way to accelerate a chance to recruit either one than to steal the tag belts they fought for and won? Perhaps, but I could see them waiting for Hangman and Kenny to lose to someone else (as others are saying, perhaps the Bucks this February), since then they can spring out and make their sales pitch while Hangman is at his lowest. He's riding too high right now...in the ring, given the status of his head outside it.

I’m happy for the Elite here, but is a three month title reign really THAT long for fans today? Hope not, cause I don’t get it.

It feels longer when it's the first one, plus the SCU had the misfortune of not feeling as fresh as a lot of the other teams since they've been a unit for a while now, whereas a lot of the teams are people most of the fans weren't as aware of, so they feel fresher. Like, I had heard of Private Party, but had never seen them, for example.

I'm happy to see the switch purely because Adam Page is legit the most interesting character on Dynamite right now. Long may this slow turn continue.

I really digged the post match as well. The long term booking here is fantastic because Hangman is right. Not only did they win the titles before the Bucks, they beat SCU to do it. When the Bucks had their shot, they blew it.

I haven’t been watching I imagine it’s to turn Page heel but why give them the titles instead of an actual team?

They were the worst choice, they didn't represent change/the future and at same time werent the best team.

I haven’t been watching I imagine it’s to turn Page heel but why give them the titles instead of an actual team? That was the beauty of it. Page and Omega naturally became a tag team over the past months. There was already the background of then being in the same faction. And since they often teamed because of it,they starting to get a "groove" as a tag team, slowing going up the ranks. It wasn't a Cena/Shawn situation where they go"We are feuding, top guys, lets win the titles because we can".But at same time it moves the story of Page's and his feelings over The Elite.

Ive seen some Murphy/Rollins comparisons on social media, but as you and others mentioned, Hangman and Kenny have been teaming for months and they actually earned a title shot and then won the titles in a great match..

Kenny and Hangman's story is my favorite thing in AEW right now.

Like, the outcomes are the same but the stories are wildly different with one being done so quickly, there’s not really much time to take it in especially before a major PPV.

I think it's just an WWE fans vs. AEW fans thing on twitter where both sides just criticize each others shows without making sense sometimes.

Imo what affected SCU were the way they beat the Lucha Bros and the Bucks on Dynamite, very anticlimatic that it really hurt them long term besides those match being rushed and not living to the hype at all.

The SCU/Bucks match also had the ill fated Dark Order post match attack. Anyway here's the thing about this to me. I figure the Bucks will get the title shot at the PPV and that's where the Omega/Hangman breakup deal will go down, which will lead to them having a singles match (de facto #1 contender) at Double or Nothing. Then I'd probably put Omega over and that's when Page would be at his lowest ebb and do something drastic like joining the Dark Order.

Anybody could have beaten SCU and it would have been a great moment. Man what an awful run they had.
