So based on what I’m reading on this, Vince was lightening the mood, and Pat went on too long and had to have his mic pulled. Even in Bix’s tweets after watching the Hannibal video (which maybe he should have done before reporting) he says that no one was offended. So it’s reading to me like Vince tried to be jokey (which is always hit-and-miss at a funeral), and I guess it upset Superstar Billy Graham? Vince could have got up there and breathed slightly and it would have upset Billy Graham. Only thing that makes Graham happy is steroids.

It happened like this but instead of Randall and Dante, it's Vince & Pat Patterson

If anything happened at the funeral near what Graham says happened, it would be probably on every major news outlet up here, _including_ the CBC. Vince may be crazy, but he's not stupid.

That’s what I’m reading as well, there was no malice in what Vince said. He closed his speech with “Rocky was a great wrestler, but the greatest thing he ever did was marry Ata and have a son with her” And Pat apparently started really rambling and not making sense, but wasn’t really being out of line. And he’s 79, who knows what state his mind is in these days. Nobody took offence to anything

Vince is crazy but until corroborated to a better degree I don't buy this. It doesn't pass the smell test.
EDIT: Also, SBG has ZERO credibility with me since his main view on life is wrestlers on steroids + coke = good and just trashing Vince/WWE for made up shit when there's real stuff he can point out that should be or should've been addressed.

Billy Graham's Billy Graham, and even if Harry *did* say what he's being "cited" as saying, Harry's... there's no delicate way to say this, but his dad was Davey Boy and his mom's Diana Hart. Harry's an odd man, and would stand out more as such if he wasn't kin with Teddy Hart.

Yeah, we're not far out of Harry almost getting into it with Jake Roberts at a con for reasons that still seem unclear to me.

If this is true, it seem like Vince saw all the recent twitter drama as a challenge.

I'm a bit wary of Superstar Billy Graham related news. The man could start a bar fight on an empty planet.
To give the devil his due, sounds like Vince made some Vince comments to cheer up the family (I can believe most things of Vince, but not that he'd deliberately try to piss off The Rock from appearing on WWE TV), and randomers took it at face value?
Whereas Pat just sounds like he was upset and rambling tbh. He's always been known as a highly emotional chap at the best of times. (Also I am wary of social media jumping to OAP wrestlers being drunk for confused behaviour given the widespread Parkinsons, dementias, CTE and post stroke behaviour among them, not diagnosing Pat with any of those of course, but the 20 year Batman TV show anniversary was on YouTube once, and at the end they bring out a very old Alan Napier who manages to slur a few words together. He'd had a severe stroke not long before it and died a few weeks later. YouTube comments were full of how drunk he was! Bah and humbug.)

I know Pat was a mentor of sorts to Rock, and Pat's always been considered very emotional, like you say, so this probably made it a whole lot rougher on him than it might have otherwise been.

Not even one full month into 2020 and it’s already been WILD. Even if this isn’t true (or didn’t really offend anyone if it is)

I heard he got up to the pulpit and for some reason started throwing almonds at everyone and shouting about snow cones and then challenged who he thought was Hulk Hogan to a drag race where the winner got a steak wrap covered in ketchup, turns out it wasn’t Hogan but Billy Graham who was not only experiencing road rage during the race but also roid rage.

Patterson and Rocky Johnson were very old friends. When The Rock was getting his early training, Rocky J got Pat Patterson involved as one of the people he trusted 100% to look after his son when learning the basics.

Well as far as potential things for Vince to spout off at a funeral, it could have been a lot worse: {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}

I doubt all of this.
Even with that... it's fairly common for grown ass men to say about themselves "My biggest accomplishment in life was my wife and kids".
