Going out for errands..buncha people wearing his Jersey. And even more talking about it in public. It’s crazy.

Hard to watch Doc Rivers on ESPN just now. Man looked like he was a wreck. Then seeing LeBron walking to the Lakers plane just after finding out and seeing him wiping tears from his eyes.

I think JA Adande said it really well when he said that we saw Kobe go from being this young, fresh faced rookie to the grumpy old man in the last few years of his career and now we are all really realizing just how young he still was dying at just 41 That's the weird thing about basketball, even back when they played four years of college the really big stars were big names in the league in their early 20's. I've been a Charles Barkley fan since I was 6 years old and he's 56. Lebron is now the elder legend of the game and he's 35. And Kobe was 17 when he was drafted, so it's compounded even more in his case.

I was at the local casino when I heard the news by the way. You can tell the people who knew. They had a face like a bus hit them. I'll never forget that.

All athlete deaths are tragic, but this is probably the biggest passing that has impacted many platforms since Dale Earnhardt in 2001.

The Hall of Fame ceremony is going to be depressing. He was a shoo-in as a headliner this year as a first year inductee.

Jesus Christ, look, I'm English and Basketball is nowhere near as big over here as it is in the states, but it's still horrible to hear and I feel so damn bad for anyone and everyone effected by this tragedy. Can someone give me a hint on how good Bryant was? Was he, like, Michael Jordan levels of good?

I'm someone who doesn't follow basketball, and Kobe is one of the first names I'd throw out if someone asked me to name greatest players of all time. You couldn't help but know how great he was, because like Brandon Walsh is Insane. said, he transcended into pop culture. For sure one of America's modern sports icons. More than anything, the human aspect of this what hurts most everyone, though, I'd wager. Just heartbreaking.

I can see other teams doing this. It won't surprise me if 24 gets retired league wide.
