See. Here’s my thing. Matt Hardy’s stuff is fine and started all this. But it’s way too jokey for me. Its already inherently silly without loading it with gags and craziness for the sense of crazy. The Funhouse had comedy all over but it all came to a very serious point. That's kind of why a lot of the Broken Matt stuff never clicked with me, personally.(Apart from Ricky Morton in the cherry picker). It's jokey to the point where it gets kind of...lame, I guess? Yeah. There’s a tipping point. Like the first Deletion match with Jeff was a good balance. But then you get to guys being blown 400 feet in the air out of a volcano and it’s a step too far. Lucha Underground is the perfect mix of cinematic wrestling but not losing the edge of it being a match. I felt that influence in Boneyard and the Funhouse

Thought tonight was pretty disappointing compared to last night. Had its moments though. Loved The Funhouse in particular.

I won’t be updating my WrestleMania Page until Monday, so to hold you over, here are my thoughts & Facts & Stats for WrestleMania. Thanks.
Another fun night of WrestleMania. I have to give everyone credit for doing these shows to give us something to watch, unlike other sports, especially the wrestlers for busting their asses, the commentators, & the production team. They actually pulled it up despite everyone crapping on it before it happened. A lot of people said that WrestleMania should have been postponed or canceled or wasn't going to watch it because of no crowd. I hope you enjoyed it. If you didn't watch it, then it was your loss. Natalya VS Liv Morgan was a decent match on the Kickoff. And we're back with Steph McMahon to kick off WrestleMania, but at least it was short. It was stupid that we got the same exact video from last night. At least do a different video. Also, since they didn't show him last night, they should have shown Mean Gene singing the National Anthem from WM 1. I wasn’t paying attention to Gronk. Rhea Ripley VS Charlotte Flair was an excellent match to officially start Night 2. Aleister Black VS Bobby Lashley was hard-hitting. Sasha Banks & Bayley’s interview was OK. Gronk’s interview was OK. OK match between Otis & Dolph Ziggler. Edge VS Orton was a fun match & a nice workaround with no crowd. The crowd would be mad if this match went all over the building and not in the ring. Who were those people and what happened to Social Distancing? I figured that Gronk would be the 24/7 Champion by the end of the night. The Fatal 5-Way Women’s Match was good. The Raw Tag Team Title was good, even though it was short, & I liked the surprise at the end. The Firefly Funhouse was unbelievable. I love all of the throwbacks. Drew McIntyre VS Brock Lesnar was OK and it sucks that it didn’t happen in front of a sold out stadium.
Before getting to Night 2, here are some leftover facts from Night 1: - WM 36 was the 2nd time that Goldberg lost the Universal Title at WrestleMania & the 2nd time in a row (though he didn’t compete at WrestleMania 35) - Braun Strowman was the 1st wrestler to win a Tag Team Title & the Universal Title at WrestleMania - The Women’s Tag Team Title Match was the 1st Tag Team Match to open WrestleMania since a 6-Man Tag at WrestleMania 29 - Sami Zayn was the 1st time that the Intercontinental was retained since WrestleMania 33
Here are the Facts & Stats for Night 2: - Natalya VS Liv Morgan was the 40th Dark/Pre-Show/Kickoff Match in WrestleMania History & the 16th year in a row, the 3rd year in a row that a Women’s Match will be on the Kickoff & the 1st Singles Women’s Match on the WrestleMania Kickoff since Ivory VS Jacqueline on Sunday Night Heat prior to WrestleMania 15, Natalya’s 7th WrestleMania, which is the most for any woman in WWE & she now has competed in more WrestleMania Matches than her father, who competed in 6, & her 1st ever Singles Match at WrestleMania & her 3rd Kickoff Match, & 1st since WrestleMania 34, Liv Morgan’s 3rd WrestleMania in a row & 3rd Kickoff Match in a row & her 1st ever Singles Match at WrestleMania, & Natalya & Morgan’s 2nd PPV in a row in 2020, & was Natalya’s 4th loss in a row at WrestleMania. - Rhea Ripley VS Charlotte Flair was the 3rd NXT Women’s Championship Match of 2020, the 1st since Takeover: Portland on February 16, 2020 & the 1st ever at WrestleMania, making it the only title to be defended on a Worlds Collide, NXT Takeover, & a WWE PPV in 2020, the 20th Women’s Title Match at WrestleMania & the 5th year in a row that a Women’s Title was defended at WrestleMania, the 1st NXT Title to be defended on a WWE PPV since the NXT Championship at Survivor Series on November 24, 2019, Rhea Ripley’s WrestleMania debut, her 1st PPV since Survivor Series on November 24, 2019, & she is the only wrestler to compete on a Worlds Collide, NXT Takeover, & WWE PPV in 2020, & is the 1st wrestler since Asuka at WrestleMania 34 to make their WrestleMania debut competing in a Women’s Title Match & the 1st since Alexa Bliss at WrestleMania 33 to be a defending Women’s Champion, Charlotte Flair’s 5th WrestleMania in a row & 1st PPV of 2020 since the Royal Rumble on January 26, her 5th Women’s Championship Match in a row, which is the most in WrestleMania History, as only Trish Stratus & Jazz has competed in 2 matches in a row, the 2nd night in a row a Women’s Match has opened WrestleMania, Ripley & Flair’s 1st WrestleMania opener, their 1st PPV opener of 2020, Flair was the 2nd year in a row that someone went from the WrestleMania main event to the following year’s opener, the 1st NXT Women’s Title Change of 2020, the 1st ever NXT Title to change hands at WrestleMania, but the 9th Women’s Title to change hands in WrestleMania History, & was Flair’s 1st win at WrestleMania since WrestleMania 34 & her 1st title win at WrestleMania since WrestleMania 32, & Ripley won’t be the 1st Women’s Champion since Bayley to retain her title in her WrestleMania debut - Aleister Black VS Bobby Lashley was Aleister Black’s 2nd WrestleMania in a row & his 2nd PPV in a row in 2020, & his 1st Singles Match at WrestleMania, Bobby Lashley’s 4th WrestleMania & 2nd year in a row, his 1st PPV of 2020 since Super Showdown on February 27, & his 1st ever Non-Title Non-Gimmick Match at WrestleMania - Otis VS Dolph Ziggler was Otis’ 2nd WrestleMania in a row & 1st Singles Match at WrestleMania, his 2nd PPV in a row in 2020 & his 1st Singles Match on PPV in his Career, & 1st Singles Match since he defeated Drew Gulak on Smackdown on January 3, 2020, Dolph Ziggler’s 10th WrestleMania, tying him with Kurt Angle, Sheamus, & Daniel Bryan, Brock Lesnar, & Jimmy Uso this year, for 9th place for most WrestleMania Matches, & 1st since WrestleMania 34, his 3rd PPV in a row in 2020, & his 1st ever 1-on-1 Singles Match at WrestleMania, & his 7th loss in a row at WrestleMania - Edge VS Randy Orton was the 1st Last Man Standing Match in 2020, the 44th in WWE History, the 1st since Dave Mastiff VS Joe Coffey at NXT UK Takeover: Cardiff on August 31, 2019, & the 1st for WWE proper since Braun Strowman VS Bobby Lashley at Extreme Rules on July 14, 2019, & the 1st ever in WrestleMania History, Edge’s 11th WrestleMania, tying him with Mark Henry, Kofi Kingston, John Bradshaw Layfield/Bradshaw, The Rock/Rocky Maivia, Randy Savage in 9th place for most WrestleMania Matches in History, & 1st since WrestleMania 27, tying him with Hulk Hogan (9-18), Leilani Kai (1-10), Brock Lesnar (20-29), Demolition Smash/Repo Man (8-17), Mr. Perfect (9-18), Sgt. I should be happy that Brock lost, but WWE has conditioned me to the fact that no matter when Brock loses one main title, he'll just go and win the other main title, because just like Nemesis with S.T.A.R.S., WWE has a hard-on for giving Brock one of the two main titles.
