Mel Gibson' hatred of Jews is weird when you consider he made a movie about the most famous Jew in history.
Of course, instead of a beautiful inspirational story about that Jew's life we got him being beaten for two hours, so maybe that makes sense after all.

I won't lie, I'll see this movie as it is one of the few film franchises I actually like. It will be interesting to see how they do this or if they just retcon the hell out of their ages. I guess they could set it back in like 2005 or something like that and make it a little more realistic. I mean Danny Glover has looked 50 for the past 40 years and Mel Gibson isn't much better.
Roger Murtaugh was 50 in the first film, so that would make him 83 now. Martin Riggs was in his mid 30s in the first film (working backwards with his references to Vietnam and whatnot), and I believe he mentioned being 50 in the last film, so that would make him 72 now.

Martin Riggs, born October 16, 1949. Roger Murtaugh, born December 21, 1937. Yeah, neither of these guys are on the force in 2020.

Who's the oldest one to direct ever? That's gotta be close, I'm not a movie expert though... Manoel de Oliveira, died at 106, made movies from 1931 (tried to make one in 1927, it fell through) to 2013. Clint Eastwood is 89 and putting out movies regularly (don't know what he has coming up, but he just directed Richard Jewell) One of those Richard Jewell TV spots was so weird. Where Clint Eastwood just does a speech about what a hero Jewell was and why the movie is important. I can’t remember if it even included any movie clips. It’s like, “I’m Clint Eastwood and I endorse this movie...that I also made.”
