This is what's genuinely worrying me about this virus, it's a new thing, right, like, we're just hearing about it, and yet we're hearing cases of it coming from all over, like France is the one that worries me because if it got from China to France, then it can get from France to England, which is where I live?? How did it spread so quickly?? Then again, that is kind of what Viruses are known for? Airplanes. Fair point, but you'd think that people effected with the virus would have shown signs of it?

Fair point, but you'd think that people effected with the virus would have shown signs of it? Development of symptoms takes anywhere between two and eleven days.

Fair point, but you'd think that people effected with the virus would have shown signs of it? It is infectious well before symptoms develop. I have a co-worker whose wife and kids are in China right now visiting her family and are now stuck. Even better, their tickets back are nonrefundable and nontransferable. Not only is he looking at having to eat the cost of 3 transPacific flights, I am concerned that they might be blocked from returning even after China opens back up.

So I guess it doesn't matter if I have ice cream, then?
Thanks, coronavirus!

People freaked out over SARS, people freaked out over bird flu, people freaked out over Ebola, and no one is talking about those today. Meanwhile tens of thousands die every year of the flu and we aren’t concerned.
Im not saying it’s nothing but the panic some seem to be experiencing is grossly exaggerated compared to the actual threat.

I plan on living forever. Many people do. Rarely does that actually pan out in their favour.

It's going to be interesting to see how the world reacts to this. After what's happened these past I don't know 15 years or so related to the different diseases that have come forth (even ebola which I never expected to return) the headlines will be very important.

Not to breach any rules; but you'd think a nation as large and wealthy as China would be spending quite a bit of money on their medical industry to make sure that shit like this doesn't happen?? The problem is in their food consumption. Quite frankly they eat utter shite which no person should be eating, such as bats, which are notoriously prone to transmitting viruses.

Stop eating bats and other shit that shouldn’t be eaten. You mean like animals in general? (Just one vegetarians opinion.)

Sensible medical people are saying the dead already had existing life-threatening issues, unfortunately exacerbated by Coronavirus - from radio stations I have listened to recently including the BBC.
So while it's dangerous, it is manageable.
