The company was officially "World Wrestling Federation Entertainment, Incorporated" in company statements and on the New York Stock Exchange. When they changed, they simply dropped "Federation" and became "World Wrestling Entertainment, Incorporated". Like I said; they changed the name because they lost a lawsuit and didn't want to pay anyone anything, yet what they ended up doing to avoid paying likely was more expensive. I meant that it's being portrayed online like this show claimed Vince just decided to drop the WWF name one day when they actually did not say that at all. All they said about the name change and Vince was that "WWE" came from him and was chosen so the company name would have "entertainment" in it. But even so, that's ignoring the massive elephant in the room that the company broke the terms of an agreement they made with the World Wildlife Fund years ago, decided to go to court instead of just paying the agreed settlement and basically got their ass handed to them and became so much of a joke as a result that, again, the news of said event had to be summarized for children for a television institution. Like, even if Vince wanted the name to include Entertainment, it's a massive thing to ignore when it influenced so much of what happened after it.

They didn't mention the lawsuit, but I've been seeing people say that the show claimed Vince voluntary decided to change the name even though none of the people interviewed or the narrator said that.

But the way they present it, such as "a change of attitude" being a bloated term to justify the change, you can't blame the viewer for assuming that's how they present the narrative.

Okay, just watched the clip about the name change. What a hilarious crock of shit. The cherry on top is Mark Henry grimacing, “And it worked 😊”

So they went from Julius narrating the War series and they've got Troy doing the RA one.

I went back to the first episode, and nobody claimed the company name was changed voluntarily. They simply said "World Wrestling Entertainment" was Vince's idea and was picked because he wanted "entertainment" in the name. WWE is the King of exaggeration and half truths. Its fans are close behind.

They love their cuts to the crowd so much, they’re inserting them into archive footage.

I'm enjoying the show. If you're paying good money to watch the WWE Network with the expectation that WWE is suddenly going to become self-aware and create shows with a taste of criticism and dissatisfaction in itself and its history, you may be barking up the wrong tree.

Just watched the Cena episode, why did he have to stop rapping if he was appealing to children? It's not like rap is an inherently profane art form, heck, Cena was already toning down his stuff in 2004.

I'd like to see an episode about HBK's return. He was still a pretty big star, and he was able to be introduced to fans who may never had seen him in his heyday, and he was still having top-tier matches.

I really started checking out when Cena rose to the top but I think his switch in character really came when he was in the Marine. To help promote the movie. Also, when you start bleeding fans might as well say you changed on purpose.

Ironic that Triple H loves Flair since he did suggest Ric should have retired back in 1998.
