Except Jo was drafted 3 years ago and has had some time in the minors Bart was drafted in 2018 and gas torn the cover off the ball but only reached double A. If he had a full season this year, he would been there Yeah, Adell was basically a given to be up by July/August in a normal season unless he completely fell apart in the minors. So it's kinda the same in that he'll get the same amount of time in the majors as he would have, only he doesn't get the benefit of about 100 AAA games. Angels also overspend like crazy. Giants don't want or need to start Bart's clock. Yea, Angels need that talent and that bat and would be wise to try to work a deal with him now unless he is a Boras client. Luis Robert type money could do it Yea, bringing up Bart has no real standings for the Giants this year. It is too early to offer him a deal to buy time off him and you don't want to start his clock and be forced to pay sooner then later

This is where Yanks will miss Sevy
Offense is covering up the struggles of some the SP
Happ has surrendered a 5 and 3 run lead in his two starts

Well, the White Sox have, for now, seemed to turn things around. So I guess I eat a plate of crow over my earlier musings. Luis Robert seems to be a force in almost every aspect at the moment, and its nice to feel like the opponent are on their toes almsot every time the Sox are up to bat. Now if they could just avoid being bludgeoned by those dastardly Twins who, every time I tune in to watch them, look spectacular.
Really liking how well the Brewers newer uniforms pop. But their color scheme had always been nice, so I guess that is a given.

The Phillies were lucky this was a 7 inning, a regular 9 inning game, who knows.

White Sox has been a team on the come up since they traded Sale They are now at that middle ground where you expect the young talent to start producing and they have vet bats to back it up. They got some arms that aren't ready yet tho. Kopech throwing 102 whether in the pen or rotation is going to be filthy

Only for our bullpen to shut the White Sox down big time tonight.
Nice to have a game where our bullpen isn't a 57373748437384-alarm tire fire.

The Phillies were lucky this was a 7 inning, a regular 9 inning game, who knows. Only the Phillies could score 11 runs game one and then when Nola shows up and throws one of his best starts ever and gives up a run, they can only score one run the entire game against the bottom of the Yankees rotation, and oh, sprinkle in losing in the last inning because NOBODY IN THE BULLPEN IS GOOD, THEY'RE ALL JUST TERRIBLE. This season is beginning to look like the tipping point of the shit Phillies fans have been forced to eat watching this organization try to make an amazing team while avoiding the luxury tax. What has resulted is damn near a money pit with almost nothing to show for it. Girardi also tried to blame the layoff on the Phillies woes coming back but the Marlins strolled back in after 18 positive COVID tests on their team and won three straight. Get it together or heads are rolling soon.

If they get decent enough pitching they could do damage this season, but I like them long term as well. They did the rebuild right.

When you grade the big trades they did in getting rid of talent, you can't ask for more then what they did. They need more arms but considering the money they have saved by giving their rookies deals out the gate, they can afford just about anybody they want They are a team that could make noise now in being able to fight for a playoff spot and should be a contender 2 years from now

Imagine if the White Sox didn’t trade Tatis for JAMES SHIELDS. Damn, forgot about that. A future infield of Tatis/Anderson/Moncada/Vaughn would have been ridiculous.

Well that was one of the world's strangest inside the park home runs I've ever seen in the White Sox/Brewers game. lol.

and yet another Cardinals tested postive, so the Cubs vs Cardinals game is postponed...the Cards will be stuck playing nothing but double headers for their season.

The Marlins are in a region with the hapless Mets and the downright awful Orioles. They're going to win some games.

Baseball in 2020 everyone!!! Baseball is one of those games where people always toss out weird trivia about random ass games/teams, so to me this is an amazing little tid bit.

The Marlins are in a region with the hapless Mets and the downright awful Orioles. They're going to win some games. The Mets' steadfast refusal to work at bats and approach their hitting with focus and strategy early in this season is almost admirable in its consistency. Suicidal, of course, but consistent! Seriously, I can't fathom that this is all because Chili Davis is staying quarantined and isn't around to coach them, they're hitting for a solid team average and OBP yet converting absolutely nothing into actual offensive output.
