So Mets created a story that wasn't there? If they knew that they should said so. Just seems like a miscommunication that could have gotten out of hand since they said they had no communication with him To be fair I can totally see Cespedes just leaving and not telling anyone, and how do you know they didn't have any communication with him? maybe he didn't want to answer his phone, we're all making assumptions here and we don't know the full story I don't know anything. I said IF they knew It is already being reported that he up and left. Mets sent someone to his room and all his stuff was gone. They were informed after that Cespedes is opting out

There is a rumor that some Cardinals players went out to a Casino.
Like I said before, some times powerful unions are bad. The MLBPA is a perfect example. There will be no consequences for the players who potentially put the league at risk.

Part of me thinks the Cards and Marlins should be harshly punished, but another part says it doesn’t matter because if it wasn’t them it would have been two other teams. These guys can’t be trusted to just do sports

I'd be shocked if that planned upcoming series with the Cubs is a thing. As you might expect, the Cards fandom is pretty much the Community fire GIF right now.

I have no doubt that if the NBA and NHL were not in a bubble we would have seen the same thing happen to them. Athletes think they are invincible. MLB is just in the toughest spot as they don’t have a bubble and have to rely on players to be disciplined. Some have taken it seriously, but every team has to. Manfred seems to have changed his tone and it appears MLB will keep chugging along even with the outbreaks. They are getting a lot of money from ESPN for the expanded playoffs. They won’t give up easily.

They play hockey, they golf, and they play video games and they do all of it with essentially the same people. If there's one group of athletes that are made for this, it's them.

They cancelled the Field of Dreams game. One of the coolest things they could have ever done, which probably would have made for great TV, especially rn, and of course we don't get it.

Kind of don't blame them If teams can't stay healthy and that game gets cancelled anyway it is going to look bad. Reschedule for next year like they did

Yea, some wholesome feel good content would been good right now but state of MLB is up in the air with them postponing 20% of games If you believe the rumors, Cardinals and Marlins got their outbreaks from going out which I still don't understand why they would take that risk

Jo Adell called up by the Angels. Might be a little early for him but with no minor league season it makes sense to have him up. Really exciting young player. Hopefully he pans out because an outfield with him and Trout would be fun.

Speaking of Angels, looks like it over for the Ohtani pitching experiment He's not pitching this season most likely since he has to rest his arm 6-8 weeks and his two outings were bad

Such a shame Joey Bart still isn’t ready enough to play over Tyler Heineman and Chadwick Tromp, and cant even get on the taxi squad over a guy named Herrman. Clearly not the prospect we were told he was.

Except Jo was drafted 3 years ago and has had some time in the minors Bart was drafted in 2018 and gas torn the cover off the ball but only reached double A. If he had a full season this year, he would been there

If he had a full season this year, he would been there Yeah, Adell was basically a given to be up by July/August in a normal season unless he completely fell apart in the minors. So it's kinda the same in that he'll get the same amount of time in the majors as he would have, only he doesn't get the benefit of about 100 AAA games. Angels also overspend like crazy. Giants don't want or need to start Bart's clock.
