As long as I can watch it on TV and do my fantasy drafts, I'll gladly take the empty stadium compromise.

At this rate, empty stadium games would still be live TV/streaming content, which will appeal to fans who are bored out of their minds to find something to keep them entertained, and also advertisers who know ratings will likely go up and therefore the ad space will be more valuable. I think the NBA is a sport that needs the live audience. MLB needs it for the playoffs, but for the regular season, attendance is usually not that great anyway, so they'd likely be least impacted by it. Really hope they can get some games in by July.

The MLB has to be licking their chops. For years, everyone has blasted baseball for being too boring, but now we'd all be completely entertained by a baseball game. The players don't often get too close, the cameramen don't have to be very close to the action. It's all pretty positive except for the roster size, which is very advantageous for the NBA. 12 players, 4 coaches (which could be trimmed as well) a side.

It's all pretty positive except for the roster size, which is very advantageous for the NBA. 12 players, 4 coaches (which could be trimmed as well) a side. The biggest issue for baseball will be spring training (they'll need a couple of weeks for pitchers to get ready if/when the season starts). The entire 40 man roster is usually at spring training, plus coaches, probably executives, etc. That's just one team. It's going to be a lot of people in one field, even without the fans there. Once the actual season starts it will be the 26 man roster + coaches for each team so it won't be as bad, especially if they have distancing protocols created for dugouts before the season starts. You're right the NBA roster size is better for resuming games, but there will also be more direct touching/contact in basketball, which is likely more dangerous than a baseball game where players are usually not close to each other on the field. But yeah, if baseball comes back at some point this year, their ratings and fan interest will soar. Not only would they have content, but they will have A LOT of content, as they can have double headers to make up lost games, a game every single day, etc, etc. Even with an empty stadium, MLB probably benefits as long as the season begins by July. Anything later than that and it will be tough to get anything close to a meaningful season in.

The London games between the Cubs and Cardinals has been canceled. Guessing the Yankees/White Sox game in Iowa will follow suit.

I was looking forward to the Field of Dreams game. Hope they put it on next year's schedule if this year is out.

I still think they could pull off the Field of Dreams game if Kevin Costner is the only person sitting in the stands.

Even if no games are played, the Astros suspensions will still count and Hinch/Lundlow will have served time

Yea, either way they good and don't give a damn if a single game is played I guess it makes sense that players get service time so the suspensions should count but still, it is a bit unfair

Like Domingo German's suspension doesn't start until a game is played.

Ok that is dumb Can't just make up your own rules for suspensions. If one counts then they all should. Yes, executives don't play games but sitting out for a season that isn't even a season isn't exactly a suspension

Evan Gattis even said it was wrong that they cheated to win the chip

Evan Gattis is the closest I've heard to a genuine apology from that group, f-bombs and all.

The Giants broadcasters are doing a completely straight call of a Giants/Dodgers game being played on The Show. I love miss these guys.
But what the hell happened to The Show?! It looks awful graphically. I haven’t played a sports game in years, but it seems to have stagnated and stayed the same since the last time I played.
