You know A-Rod has been on Shark Tank a few times. Wonder if its possible if he could team up with Cuban.

I'm still really interested in how Seattle plays out with Kelenic and J-Rod. That outfield might look really, really good in a couple years, or it could be the next Wily Mo Pena/Austin Kearns.

He’s super rich but he’s not a billionaire. Surely he can’t do this by himself. But even though his legacy is with the Yankees, A-Rod has been known to love the mets. I’m intrigued Yeah, he grew up a huge Mets fan. And yeah he'd have to be part of an ownership group like Magic Johnson with the Dodgers or Derek Jeter with the Marlins. And unlike Jeter, A-Rod is a massive baseball nerd who loves every opportunity to absorb the game when he can.
I also think Jeter gets a lot of unfair blame put at his feet because he's the public face of the Marlins, but he isn't the money. That'd be a guy named Bruce Sherman. Hell, you can still put a lot of the Marlins' woes on how Loria ran that franchise into the ground.
Pretty much. While the fire sale wasn't well received, it was kind of necessary. Loria burned so many bridges for the Marlins (especially after getting the new stadium) that Jeter and his group basically had to start from the ground up in terms of sponsorships, community relations, and grassroot campaigns.

Except attendance has further plummeted, community relations has strained, they still get rid of players, and... www.miamiherald.com/sports/mlb/miami-marlins/article239089573.htmlThey're taking their sweet time rebuilding Homer the Home Run Sculpture. So, Jeter IS a bad owner.

Borderline criminal the way Loria fleeced the City of Miami to get the taxpayers to pay for the stadium and he brought in a team for one year before slashing payroll again

Seattle's become one of those "THIS is the breakout year!!" teams that just stays in the same spot year after year.

Boston traded Mookie Betts for a guy with a stress fracture in his back? What kind of evil hypnotic sorcery do the Dodgers have? Probably some karma earned.

I feel like they have a sneaky good off-season every one of the last 3 off-seasons and they only get worse.

If I was the city of Miami I would have been making sure he paid out some of that money he got paid when he sold the team What Loria got away with is insane that I can't think of anyone else who has done that

The Astros suck. And Correa was one of the least detestable guys on their team based on his previous statements. It's not that hard to come out and say "We f***ed up. We got so caught up in creating a winning legacy that we tarnished our legacy entirely." And literally nothing else. And you get off with cheating in mutliple postseasons and a WS title with 0 repercussions. And they can't even do that. What a bunch of douches.

I definitely get why some are playing the smallest violin for Baker & Houston right now. But beaning is always a bad thing to do, no matter how you shake it.

Beaning was probably a bad choice of words on my part. I'd never ever advocate for throwing at any player's head, but I think the hip or back is fair game and it certainly doesn't need to be done to every one of the Astros, but given the players have skated by on any sort of real punishment from MLB, the players dealing out punishment of their own is what happens.
