Figured it'd be a nice little challenge to see if I can make to at least 100 games finished in particular ways throughout the year. By beaten, I mean either the game's main story mode, or whatever the basic level is to be considered complete. Completed so far: Showdown: Legends of Wrestling (Career Mode) Katamari ReRoll Beavis and Butt-Head Wrestlemania: The Arcade Game McDonald's Treasure Land Adventure Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 Mega Man Mega Man 2 Super Mario Bros Aladdin Sonic 3 & Knuckles Vice City Mario Maker 2 (Story) Smackdown: HCTP (Season) Darkwing Duck Darkwing Duck (GB) Super Mario 3 Latest completion: #18 The Final Fantasy Adventure Thoughts: This was the first time I've played through this game, as part of the Collection of Mana for Switch, and I ended up enjoying it. Very interesting Zelda-ish RPG. The story was all over the place, filled with some rough translation, but I got the gist of it. Only downside I had was the constant need to switch weapons to fight different enemies. But for the precursor to Secret of Mana, this was still a good start.

#19: Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins Not an every level run this time around, but more of a casual play. That is until the last level which has always been hell for me. Save stated a bit to finally get it finished, but regardless, it's still a fun game for about 98% of it.

#20: The Flintstones (GB) This was more of a random pick out of the Game Boy roms I have installed. I booted it up expecting an even worse port of the already bad SNES Flintstones game, but what I got was an okay at best platformer.

Not sure if I can pinpoint the order, but I will try.
Saints Row IV (main campaign, haven't completed the Christmas DLC) Final Fight 3 Metal Slug XX

Suggesting Age of Empires 2 campaign mode, including all the DLC. A good trip down memory lane for before the remake comes out.

#21: TaleSpin (GB) I feel I'm in the minority of people who like the NES game. This port was pretty good, albeit much easier and loses a few stages, with one being a merger of two stages in the NES version.

#22: WWF Superstars A very bare bones wrestling game, but still great for the soundtrack and graphics.

#23: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater (PS1) Requirement: All tapes and all gold medals. Going back to this one after going through 2 earlier this year, yeah, this aged rough. Some of the goals in the last few stages are pretty much wing and a prayer to get perfect. Also the 900 remains the most worthless special move.

#24: Chip 'N Dale: Rescue Rangers Not an every stage run, since I rarely do that, but my general path to the end. Died a lot in this run than usual, mainly in one area with the shifting platforms, but otherwise, not the worst run for a year or two off the game.

Sort of curious to see how this comes together. Guessing for the purposes of this goal not going to be a whole lot of RPGs or visual novels.
Should try putting together a list myself at some time, can't see it reaching that long without deliberately trying but still would be interesting to try out.

Sort of curious to see how this comes together. Guessing for the purposes of this goal not going to be a whole lot of RPGs or visual novels. I'd be terrible at this. Whenever I start a game, I do my best to 100% it. I just put 80 hours into Mass Effect 2 over two months, and now I'm going through new game+, so will probably put another 80+ hours in so I have the best possible criteria for loading into Mass Effect 3. By the end of the year I might start something that isn't Mass Effect.

Might do a few RPGs. At least ones with a reasonable length.

Games I've beaten in 2020:
- Super Mario Bros 2 (NES)
...I'm working on Yo Noid, but the Copter backpack level is a f***ing asshole.

My personal list offhand is...
- Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze - Fire Emblem: Three Houses Blue Lions route - actually finished this late on New Year's Eve but I'm gonna count it. - Mega Man 1 - Resident Evil 4 - Super Mario RPG - Super Smash Bros. Ultimate - finished my goal of beating Classic on 9.9 with every character.
I've been in a 2D Mario mood so probably will add a few of those to the list soon, I tend to blow through them quickly. Probably also replay one or both of the first two Paper Mario games soon.

#25: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater (N64)
Stripped down in a lot of areas from the other ports, but still plays somewhat smoother than the PS1 port.

#26: Super Mario 64 Been a few years since I finished the game with 120 stars, and despite familiar haunts driving me nuts (Shifting Sand Land, Tiny Huge Island) I enjoyed the run this time around. Though I should have plated with a sturdier controller. Spinning Bowser was hell.

#27: Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest The most second nature game for me on the SNES. I play it at least once per year. This year's run was one of the smoother runs I've had. Stages I've had hell issues with before like Screech's Sprint and Animal Antics went surprisingly well this time around.

Funny enough I've been wondering about getting around to both Super Mario 64 (at this point I can comfortably get every star in a day if I really focus on it) and Donkey Kong Country 2 (never actually finished it) for awhile now myself.

I guess I should another one that I had beaten this year. 4. Outlaw Volleyball - By beating, I mean going through all of tour mode. Unlike when I did it for the PS2 version, I actually played as all characters, except for the final one that you unlock. I wanted to see what they were all made of.
