I'm not exactly a fan of the prison system but at a point if you keep letting someone out on bail they're eventually going to kill somebody.

I think the fact she hasn't killed anyone or done years in prison yet is evidence she has gotten several breaks.

Ehhhh... no, she's been offered help like 100 times over the last decade, and she's even taken some of those offers I don't want to say she's just incalculably flawed, but at 49 someone really has to dig deep to make a significant change.

That is the only reasonable, realistic expectation for corrections, to remove the person for a period of time from society. Even Dostoevsky knew this from as far back as 1860. "Of course, prisons and the system of forced labor do not correct the criminal; they only punish him and ensure society against the evildoer's further attempts on its peace and quiet."

Alright, who had page 16 for the first time Dostoevsky was going to be quoted in a Sunny thread?

She must have bought a new cat. The first one used up all of its nine lives.

If we absolutely have to let Sunny out of jail, can there at least be some form of manner to make sure she is around either alcohol and/or the driver's seat of a vehicle? This is exactly the sort of thing they have house arrest for.

That’s the percentile she’s falling into. When someone’s offered opportunities for rehabilitation and they keep slapping it away, there’s no choice left but to take away their walk-around privileges.

This is exactly the sort of thing they have house arrest for. Per the new list of charges she was supposed to have an interlock on her vehicle, which she did not. She also didn’t have a license, registration, or insurance, which for most people would be barriers to operating a vehicle. In most states if you get enough alcohol related offenses you’re issued an ID card with a “don’t sell this person booze!” warning on it, but I imagine it’s been awhile since Sunny was carded. The law has done what it can is what I’m getting at.
