Postponing the show would only be bad for people obsessed with making more money than they need. If you look at it logically, not only would you be protecting fans and WWE from potential illness, but wrestlers who never really get any break ever now get a few weeks off at the time of year they're run most ragged. I almost hope they do it just for that benefit to the crew.

Heck, WWE wasn't even the first wrestling company to talk bout this. Hadn't NJPW canceled part of their tour already? A lot of the Japanese feds have postponed or cancelled shows because of this. The threat to Japan is also currently a lot worse compared to the US as of now thanks to its proximity to ground zero for the outbreak.

Yeah ok, they’re prepared to cancel Mania, yet most of the roster were just in Saudi Arabia, which is right next to Iran, which has confirmed cases of Coronavirus. How does anyone know that someone from Iran didn’t already carry the virus over to Saudi Arabia? Makes sense, keep looking out for the “health and safety” of your workers, unless blood money is involved.

There have been zero confirmed cases of coronavirus in Saudi Arabia. It'd be one of the better places in earth for them to hold shows on that basis.

Eh, just call Jericho and have WrestleMania on the Jericho Cruise 🛳 The instances that made people start to really freak out about Coronavirus were when people on cruise ships were being quarantined.

Worst case scenario is that they have the show in an empty arena (insert your own attendance joke here) and beam the show via closed circuit and whatever streaming service they decide to show WM in. There's been a couple of Italian football matches played in empty stadiums and there's talk of finishing the English league in a similar fashion. Two problems for this is even under such understandable circumstances an event without a live crowd is worthless and if contagion is this severe and coupled with that wrestling isn't the most hygienic sport plus most performers are young and healthy so if infected might walk around spreading it without noticing any major symptoms (And the ones they notice such as aches and fatigue can be easily chalked down to the lifestyle)...nah they are worried about the athletes getting it, there isn't a sport I can think of that you aren't breathing in or touching your opponents whatever's...they haven't even ruled out cancelling the Olympics or end of the EPL (unlucky Liverpool, try again next year) yet.

Comparing it to other, "Show must go on," stuff is just stupid on even a base level. Something like Owen was a case where someone involved with the company was killed which, while it probably should have stopped the show, is a world of difference from potentially exposing thousands of people in the audience to something that could kill them.

If this happens, then it probably wouldn’t just be WrestleMania getting shelved, it’d be literally everything they do that involves a crowd. Wrestling would just... stop, and who knows for how long.
That’d be f***ing eerie.

Well if the Owen Hart situation taught me anything its that making money is kinda more important than anything else to them. If they were so worried about giving refunds and such that night following that. So yeah cancelling thier biggest event of the year doesn't even seem like there's a remote chance of it happening with all the money they'd stand to lose.

They'll just make a heel that represents the virus and he infects people until Roman Reigns saves us all.

As pointed out a dozen times by others, for as bad as the Owen Hart tragedy was, there's a massive difference between the death of one person stopping a show and the potential infection of thousands upon thousands of people and their own workers regardless of how much they'd lose from it.

If WWE had to cancel WM, they could probably get away with running empty studio shows instead, down at the performance centre. If it's that bad though, AEW and most other companies are probably shit out of luck unless Khan just buys a gym outright. Uhhh...will this do? I'm very glad I know just enough about Tony Khan to get this. Heh.

Add on Owen death was sadly an accident that could have been avoidable but we all know the story. You bring your wrestlers and fans to Tampa in that environment is intentionally getting them sick which is a no go. You’re going to go to the place of the infection, have your wrestlers breath on top of each other while also having fans from all parts of the world, coughing wheezing and sneezing all over each other that could lead to infection
