For a professional company? Yeah I think I agree.
I bet there are Indy people who are FAR worse though (shudders)

Nah, I like Lilian. I think there's worse announcers. I can't remember his name, but there was a guy who announced back in the Attitude era whenever Fink wasn't around, and he seemed to have like no energy or charisma in his voice. He sounded pretty awkward. Also, even though he seems like a really good guy, I've never really cared for Justin Roberts' delivery. Chimel?

I can't blame her too much, knowing what we do now about her being refused cards and notes, and all the stuff we've heard from Justin Roberts about timing and having to shed whole chunks of the speech he was given to make time or have his mic cut. Lilian made a lot of mistakes, but she was very much not allowed to overcome her mistakes. She had a fine voice but a clear tendency to brainfart and get stuck trying to get the information out properly, and rather than try to fix these issues, the company just threw her out there and left her to fail for years because the people in charge are f***ing awful and don't care about anything important. Lilian was never great, but we never got to see what she could be with her issues address, I'm not going to blame someone for not being able to recite a speech from memory while clown horns get honked in their face and someone off-screen is holding a knife to their grandmother.

I still hate how they tried really hard to make Fink look like a boring old man by having him fued with her. I was rooting for Fink in that.

I've seen her do announcing for one of those UFC knockoffs, and with her info cards, she's totally fine. All she needed were bullet points, just like the rest of the talent, and she would have been all good.

Go back to 1999 when she first started, she had a heavy accent and made so many mistakes.

World's worst? Nah, not even close.
Worst in WWE? Yeah, there's an argument to be made.

It took her a ridiculously long time to get comfortable in the role, and even after that she could be error prone, but she worse than Justin Roberts and his infuriating exaggerations of every other syllable? Nope. Worse than the weak-voiced munchkins they've got doing announcing now? Nope.
She's no Tony Chimel, though.

Speaking of ring announcers does anyone remember the guy who replaced finkel from 1994 to 1995 as lead announcer

My personal favourite is in a Raw in 2000 when she announced the new hardcore champion as "one of Godfather's hoes!" Literally doesn't even get a name.

When she was still fairly new at it I thought people were too tough on her. Trouble is she never really got any better. The rare flub is fine but she'd have at least one a week.
Seems like a really nice person just not a great announcer.

I don't see why a woman can't be a great ring announcer, for me the issue is that she clearly just turned up 40 seconds before the cameras rolled and couldn't even be bothered to read the notes prepared for her. Hey, Mike McGuirk was actually a decent, if good ring announcer. THANK YOU. Fink is a legend but Mike McGuirk was the voice of Wrestling Challenge/Superstars in the late '80s and never gets any appreciation. Wearing those classy white tuxedos and everything.
