Kengan Ashura on Netflix is really, really, good. It’s the most I’ve enjoyed an anime in years. The storytelling, characters, and action are all top shelf. I can’t wait to see the next part of this series.

Just finished binge watching Zombie Land Saga.... The terrible CG dancing! The strange use of digitally art-i-fied photos! It burns my soul! It was fairly cute though and at only like 12 episodes goes by fast. And if you like a hefty dash of cringe or episodes devoted to like Takeshi's Castle knockoffs... The CG dancing is definitely weird but on the whole I loooove ZLS. Great cast, some really memorable stuff, the music is great, and I'm eager for what they seem to be teasing for season 2.

JoJo. And not as ajoke, the "Part X" format works great for binge watching. It leaves clear start and point goals and you can skip parts you dont like. Netflix just added Stardust Crusaders so the entirety of the Dio/Stone Mask Saga is there. Diamond Is Unbreakable is available on Adult Swim website/TV app, as is Golden Wind up to a point as that’s still airing. And all 5 anime parts are on Crunchyroll subbed. Yeah, JoJo is the one show I NEED to watch dubbed. The disconnect between hearing the actual musical reference name and reading the altered, copyright free name on the subtitles is too much for me. Good lord, the Oingo Boingo Brothers episode nearly drove me insane.

Just rewatched Iria: Zeiram the Animation. Nice blast to the past, short, some pretty cool gadget designs and what not, and you really don't need to see the live action movies... Hell, seeing the live action movies would probably make it more confusing (they are sorta a jumbled mess at times). Iria was one of the first anime characters I drew a bunch of. That beauty mark.
The next one I am thinking of revisiting is Dirty Pair Flash - just the first OAV really. Including 2 and 3 doesn't make the viewing much longer, but they aren't as good (though the themes songs for all 3 are great and some of my favorite anime themes of all time) and each set of episodes has a self contained over-arching story. That and I don't have those two on DVD and I don't want to break out the VCR. Hahah, that's my excuse at least (Same reason I wouldn't break out the El-Hazard someone else mentioned earlier, even though I am a huge fan of it... Well the 1st OAV and the TV show...2nd OAV is kinda meh and Alternative World is the pretty not good).
Other suggestions of stuff I have binged a liked that jump to mind at the moment: Tetsujin 28 (2004) - Really fun update of this old series/Gigantor and when I watched it the episodes just flew by. Prison School - Every episode has you just waiting for what could happen next! Sorta unfortunate that it doesn't cover the whole of the story/manga but it's not as abrupt any ending as some adaptions that were otherwise good (*cough cough* Skip Beat) Violet Evergarden - Can't recommend this one enough. Avoid if you don't like sad. Though everyone under the sun knows it. Yuru Camp (Laid Back Camp) - Super cute, "nothing really happens but stuff" slice of life anime. Really great to just veg to. Makes one hungry for grilled meat. Welcome to the N.H.K. - Since we all shut ins at the moment. Hahahahaha.
I would recommend, but it offends me that its not ongoing, Watamote... Well, half the universe knows that one anyways from the memes and what not.

I'm near the end of season one of Kakegurui and would majorly recommend it. It's pretty damn trashy and definitely not for everyone, but it pretty much hits that same, "Everyone and everything here is completely insane," appeal that Future Diary has for me, except it's a lot less stupid than that is.

It's a wonderful mess. To add another trashy anime, High School of The Dead technically counts. With the author deceased, they did get 12 episodes out and it stopped at a logical conclusion and if you read the manga they did tease another season but that never came to be

I thought Serial Experiments Lain and Boogiepop Phantom and Paranoia Agent wouldn't hold up, but they do. (The Boogiepop sequel was disappointing, but probably still worth watching) Uh, they're not exactly "have on in the background" kinds of shows, though.
If you can get past the stupid premise, Detective Conan has surprisingly good murder mysteries. Very easy and fun to devour.
It's no Utena, but Mawaru Penguindrum was pretty damn great. I hear Yuri Kuma Arashi isn't as good, though.
To this damn day, I laugh uproariously at Azumanga Daioh, and I have no real idea why.
Unfortunately, lots of older shows are so meandering, they don't work great for binge-watching. Patlabor, Kenshin, my fave of all time Utena, even Evangelion... these are all amazing, but there's a wholllleeee lot of filler.

So long as we're talking sports anime, I looooved Stars Align which is a tennis series (and first sports anime I've bothered with besides the sports episodes of School Rumble about it - back to that in a second) that has a ton of great stuff going for it and is in particular probably the most trans-friendly anime I've ever seen, even moreso than Zombieland Saga. Though be warned that the show was planned for two cours, last minute it was pulled to one, and they just went ahead and did what they already planned so as it is it ends on a major cliffhanger. They've been teasing pretty heavily that some kind of follow-up is in the works but there's been no actual confirmation of that so... Yeah, that's a barrier.
Speaking of School Rumble though, that's a good one if you're just looking for a dumb fun high school ensemble comedy. Season one is better than season two - you can tell they were running out of ideas a bit because there are a bunch of, "Now we're just randomly trying on this genre!" diversions like a couple of magical girl segments, a caveman one (being fair that's a between seasons OVA), and a really awful Mexico one - but the show's still pretty good throughout, funny and with a mostly really likable cast. Mostly being kind of a keyword because that's another reason season two is weaker, Tenma - the more or less outright main character though it's kind of a shared mantel - is very likable in season 1, but season 2 she spends a lot of it being pretty actively terrible. It kind of levels out by the end but she spends a lot of the season just being a buzzkill.

You guys want good sports anime to binge watch?
I'd recommend Major and Cross Game for baseball. Plenty of episodes and most of the characters are likeable. I like Diamond no Ace too, but the manga in that is sooooooooo much better at making the characters feel like they have a distinct natural personality (and that's the biggest strength the work has, IMO) that it kinda makes the anime kinda meh in comparison.
Football/soccer is all about that Captain Tsubasa though, world-size field runs and never ending floating shots and all. Especially Captain Tsubasa J which I think is the pinnacle of the series. The remake (?) is meh.
Slam Dunk and Kuroko no Basket are there for basketball fans as is Eyeshield 21 for American Football.

Steins;Gate is a show I've watched over and over again, usually in the span of just a day or two. Just a hell of a show that hits a perfect balance between a lot of different emotions and tones, with a lot more drama and intrigue than you would expect from a premise of, "People accidentally make their microwave able to send text messages back in time," and it also has a stellar cast. Majorly recommend it, though fair warning that there is a bit of an early-mid lull because they're trying to stretch to get certain material in specifically at the halfway point. It's not too bad though, never would say the show gets outright boring. I'd call it a must watch, it's excellent.
There are also its various sister series which... Eh, mixed. To go through those real quick...
Steins;Gate 0 (which isn't a prequel, it's a very late in the story midquel, don't let the name fool you into thinking this one would be okay to watch first) is fine, certainly not anywhere near as good but it does definitely have its high points, and is in some ways an improvement on the original visual novel while in others it's a downgrade. If you want more of the characters along with some pretty decent new ones it'll sate you, even if they do also put in a looot of padding and leave in new characters from the VN who should've been cut because they largely dropped everything they actually contribute. Also while I'd totally watch the original Steins;Gate OVA because it's hilarious, it and 0 reallllly don't mix well because one new character seen in both is vastly different between the two so I'd keep that in mind. I'd say watch this one but keep expectations in check on it.
Chaos;Head... Yeah, avoid this one, hard. It is technically the first story in this series, but it and Steins;Gate have very little to do with each other (it does factor a bit more into Robotics;Notes, but not really to the point it's necessary) and it's just a mess of a series. The best things I can really say for it are it has surprisingly great sound design and I love its stupid as hell end credits theme. It's a reasonable time killer since there's so bad it's good to it but you're better off not bothering.
Robotics;Notes is... fine. It is fine. Really I think it's kind of the victim of expectations for being the followup to S;G (though it's largely unconnected - a minor character from it being a semi-major one in R;N is the biggest relation) since it cannot compare at all, but I think taken on its own merits it's an inoffensive love letter to mecha that happens to have a handful of really cool bits littered in there, mostly related to Frau.
I don't know on Chaos;Child, I've heard it starts promising then quickly turns terrible but I've never watched it because I've been meaning to get around to playing the what I hear is much better VN.

I got 2 more animes for people to binge on that haven't been mentioned yet, and FYI these are both excellent CG anime (proving CG can be done correctly, unlike the Berserk anime): (music by Yoko Shimomura, who did the Street Fighter 2 soundtrack, and Kingdom Hearts soundtrack, and Final Fantasy XV soundtrack most notably) (unlike Hi-Score Girl, Vinland Saga isn't completed. In fact the first 24 episodes that have been released is only THE PROLOGUE so fair warning if you watch this series, you're gonna be stuck for the next decade watching new seasons after binging the first 2 cours) Speaking of School Rumble though, that's a good one if you're just looking for a dumb fun high school ensemble comedy. It kind of levels out by the end but she spends a lot of the season just being a buzzkill. idk I really enjoyed the Eri > Yakumo > Hige > Karasuma > Tenma love-pentagon particularly in the 2nd season of School Rumble. Lot of good Eri + Hige scenes in season 2, and a lot of good Yakumo + Hige scenes in season 2 but I will agree that Tenma is a weak link (aside from all of her pro wrestling story 1-shots with best-girl Kare-rin). Also, Stars Align was great but I hated 1) almost every parent in that series and 2) THAT SEASON ENDING (I heard the showrunners were expecting more episodes but at the last minute got cut off)
