Let's be real though... is there ANYTHING that isn't being praised in AEW? The beatdown segment is still the worst moment Dynamite has ever had (it's the only thing they've really ever done that killed their live crowd), and they've really done nothing but string the group along since then to get to the Exalted One reveal. A reveal that, so far, is a character that takes shots at Vince. Women’s division Kenny’s bookingCody’s bookingNightmare collective The dark order Jr on commentary Brandi Cody’s entranceCody’s tat Format of the show the first few monthsDarby’s booking Roster mainly being smallMoxley vs omegaSCU Nyla Rose Britt BakerI’ll add more as I think of them. Crossed out the ones that don't apply anymore

People have been willing to give things a wait and see attitude, even if they are somewhat stretching themselves to do so which is fine AEW has been doing well in booking on the fly. They are listening to things people don't like and changing it. The only thing everyone outright hated was the Nightmare Collective

I recall people being upset with the Inner Circle beatdown endings happening on almost every show for the past month (before the coronavirus hit).

When he Feuds with Cody he better make him turn to Stardust or have Cody go full HHH and it takes the sledgehammer to beat him.

Even though I really don't want to see TK ON screen it would be worth it for the Exalted one to see him and ask him to stop having so much blood and guts on the show or even ask him who the HELL HE THINKS HE IS.

Thats is why I said most. the praises it got it is only behind Jericho and The Elite Feud. And the Beatdown didnt really kill the crowd. Most backlash was online and it was reslly overblow by a few people.

Outside the very beginning of the act and one of the beatdowns with the hilarious worked punches, Dark Order's been very over.

As someone who has watched all their vignettes and matches... kinda have to disagree there. They've only gotten better over time and fixed the crap that wasn't working. I’ve also watched all of their vignettes and matches and they still come off second-rate and lame. Brodie deserves better. Uno and Stu are fine. In fact, the minions should be eating pins to preserve the threat of Uno and Stu as a team, possibly as a trio with Brodie down the road.

Tazz' heat dampening commentary on Dark. The lack of direction for a lot of the midcard who aren't in tag teams or in some way aligned with the elite. Anyone who isn't a ring general on the roster. Bigging up Jake Hager as an MMA fighter even though wrestling has a long history of keyfabing such things.

Plenty of things, and it's pretty annoying that some people think AEW is devoid of criticism, it's not and hasn't been in the slightest as has been said here already. They're really good however, at turning around their mistakes and making something good out of it, which they have done with Dark Order pretty damn well. And no that beatdown segment is not the worst segment they ever did, that high honor by a country mile is still Stalander vs Riho for the title where Nightmare Collective was everywhere.

The lack of direction for a lot of the midcard who aren't in tag teams or in some way aligned with the elite. Specifically Shawn Spears booking Spears has been doing pretty well imo with his character. I'm just interested what the end game of this tag team search is, I would imagine Spears getting a pretty legit partner and them going on a tear, helps Tag Records go by the specific team and not the overall record of a person since Spears is inflating his loss record abandoning all of his partners in matches. But I think that's a good part of the storyline too, he's not taking responsibility for the losses.

Storyline wise it is fine but he's been a background player for months since this show started It's a small part in which he can be doing a whole more and i'm not all that interested in him in a tag team in general. He's a guy who should have been pushing up the card imo

I get people want him to get that big win but the dude's still one of the brightest stars in the company with the biggest upside, it's gonna happen.

Yeah when the segment was in play I was getting Vince vibes and then when he sneezed I was “Yep confirmed”
As long as they are you know, subtle about it and do things that reward fans with an extra layer but do enough where it also works for anyone who doesn’t know what the references are then it could work
I’ve enjoyed the Dark Order since the first few episodes of Dynamite (And I agree that the reaction to that beat down segment has been exaggerated online) however so I may be biased

When Brody praises someone he should say, "thats some good s**t pal"

All this talk in the thread about Brodie and Dark Order and Vinceisms but can we please bring the topic at hand to the most important thing in that segment?
Brodie in a suit looked f***ing fantastic
