This match should have never been booked in the first place and looked awful to start with.I don't blame Roman for forgoing it and not taking the risk. I know it's circumstances that are largely out of their hands, but WWE should have never put the belt on Goldberg and put them into this corner to start with booking wise too, now they're kind of screwed. That was by all accounts one of their big marquee matches. Don't know what they can do now, if anything, to rectify this. Who takes the belt from Goldberg with a weeks notice of build?? This is also the problem you have when you constantly sacrifice your roster for like one to two guys at a time and that's it. Yes it should have and don't really matter how people felt about the match Either way, the right decision was made by Roman. He spoke to the right people and didn't put himself at risk. The company can change it as needed but since this is a weird time anyway, it is just another drop in the bucket of weird circumstances changing everything so sacrifices really don't matter in this regard Just book Mania and get it over with

Apparently word going around from Meltzer is that Roman's not the only one being pulled and a few other wrestlers on the card either didn't feel comfortable or have been feeling sick, so more changes are coming. This is a really bad sign, and this could become really bad PR for WWE. They could have filmed Mania well before this or postponed it well before this and didn't.

Kofi doesn't have a match yet... Build up would be Kofi throwing a pancake at Goldberg's face. At WrestleMania, he beats Kofi in two minutes.

It's almost like continuing with the show was a... *gasp* bad idea! I mean, I get why they pressed on and damn it, I'm going to watch, because I need to see what this show looks like. But with everything going on in the world and with every possible sign that they should have just cancelled it, they still went ahead and tried to pull this off. I don't pity them for the situation they're in now, I just feel bad for the wrestlers for being put in the position where they had to pull themselves from the show. I know it's been reported that nobody will lose their spot for sitting out, but I don't trust Vince not to find other ways to punish people down the road.

It depends on who those wrestlers are.

The guy got handed some horrible booking over the past few years. Yet behind the scenes he seems like the coolest guy ever. He’s really won me over the past year and is one of my current favorites. I would have loved to see him take out Goldberg and finally have a run I could enjoy, but I respect his decision and I’m glad he puts his health and family number one.
Stay healthy Roman. Kick some ass when all of this is over.

I gotta tell you guys, Roman Reigns and the World/Universal Title has gotta be some of the craziest cursed shit I've ever seen in wrestling, especially the sheer amount of it that hasn't even been his fault. The dude just has not been able to get/sustain a meaningful world title run and it's beginning to become one of the most curiously baffling cases of bad luck in the history of pro wrestling.

Imagine if Wrestlemania went back to one night because too many wrestlers got sick, resulting in Mania not being big enough for two nights.

Honestly it's hard to even speculate now on who faces Goldberg if SEVERAL wrestlers backed off of the show.
What other matches had to get changed/scrapped? What does this show even look like anymore? We need more reports to come out about who no longer is going to be a part of this show before we even speculate about who fights Goldberg because for all we know, several title matches have been f***ed.
This is potential worst case scenario for them continuing the show as they have.

Those guys are smart and can use BTE type segments to get them along for a while

Braun is the perfect replacement. Could be a big moment for him too. Yeah... that would be... What's the opposite of perfect? Disaster?

Ya know... I'm not in love with WWE.
However, with what's going on... last minute changes like this, I'm just gonna go ahead and give them a pass on it. This whole COVID thing is really running roughshod on everything and unfortunately changes will be made at unfortunate times.
I honestly feel like this year's will be considered "The Lost Wrestlemania" in years to come kinda like how people look at Wrestlemania 9 as the oddball show.

Eh I wouldn't compare this to AEW because they aren't doing Blood and Guts until they can actually do it with a crowd. Who knows when that will be. But yeah this WM is shaping up to be a train wreck and they need to just pull the plug on it. Weren't they supposed to be taping it over the past 2 days? What if either Lesnar or McIntyre refused to go through with it? They would be out both main events.
