Angry Again by Megadeth.
It's such a great catchy song, and it was only made exclusively for a movie nobody talks about anymore. Good thing they put it on their greatest hits.
Also, the demo for Walk On Water by Ozzy. It's better than the studio version imo. One might recognize it from the Beavis and butthead movie. It got released on a boxset later on.

Main Source's 'Breaking Atoms' is known for being as perfect as any rap album has ever been. But, interestingly enough, the track that the title came from was left just as a b-side.
Main Source - "Atom"
On the same tip, before the original rapper Large Professor left the group, Main Source did one last song right after 'Breaking Atoms' for, I believe, the 'White Man Can't Jump' soundtrack. Featuring Neek the Exotic (a super underrated name), this is "Fakin the Funk:"

The Beatles made a habit of it from about 1966 onwards such as Day Tripper and Hey Jude It's not that so much as the industry at the time demanded singles released periodically regardless and they were a separate product, often with different marketing teams - and because albums at that point were not the biggest seller, singles weren't always put onto albums. Many of the Beatles' most progressive work pre-1966 as well was on singles and b-sides because they were more 'of the moment' than an album was even then.

"Cut to the Feeling" by Carly Rae Jepsen. Didn't make Emotion, didn't even make the original cut of Emotion Side B. It was released on the soundtrack to Ballerina, but lol @ at anyone even buying that. Carly Rae Jepsen had enough songs for an album? Yeah, you better believe it. Carly Rae is so much more than "Call Me Maybe." She's an underdog pop queen who can provide joy in the darkest of times.

Madness' song "You're Wonderful" was, for some reason, not included on their 1999 album "Wonderful". All I had of it was a snippet included on the cassette-based medley preview of the album. It took until the 2010 reissue with a ton of bonus tracks for me to even find a full version.
It's a really lovely little song though.

This is another of my favourite weird musical things - title tracks that don't show up on their albums, like 'Nocturama' by Nick Cave as a b side and 'Sheer Heart Attack' by Queen just on a later album???

Nine Inch Nails - The Perfect Drug
Appeared on the soundtrack to the movie “The Lost Highway”.
Muse - Fury
Think it was a B Sides from one of the singles from the “Absolution” albums. Although it does appear as a bonus track on special edition versions of the album.
Foo Fighters - The One
One of the catchiest FF tracks. Was released to promote the movie “Orange County”.

Hehe yeah I was just being playful. I never bothered actually buying a Carly Rae Jepsen album mostly because I don’t buy any albums anymore. But I liked a few of her songs. Like the one she did with Owl City and “I Really Like You”

The Aerosmith cover of Come Together was first released on the movie soundtrack for Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. In my opinion, that song is the only thing that makes that movie watchable.

"Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me" was apparently taken off of 'Zooropa' for some reason.

Faith No More's "The Perfect Crime" was definitely an example of this. It only appeared on the soundtrack to "Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey." I mean, yes, it also appeared on their greatest hits album that was released in 2003, but I remember buying that CD (I don't know if I still have it) and the sticker said that it was included and that the B&TBJ soundtrack was out-of-print.
Speaking of "Bogus Journey," I could say the same thing about "Go to Hell" from Megadeth. I mean, yes, it was included on their "Hidden Treasures" EP, but not on an actual album.
