Mark Calloway seems like a piece of shit type of dude I don't get it. Just watched the whole thing and I didn't see what you saw I guess. He seems real decent to me.

I would've watched this way sooner if I realized they'd uploaded it earlier in the day. As a lifelong fan, rewatching Mania 33 was rough. But it's extremely well done and I'm looking forward to seeing the remaining episodes.

Extremely well done and a great watch. My question is, if Taker was/is hellbent on going out on top with a great, memorable match, then wouldn't he be satisfied with the Boneyard Match? Considering how his live in-ring matches have gone the last several years, and how bad a shape he's in physically, it just doesn't seem possible that what he's looking for is still out there.

So far it's a great documentary that's slightly ruined by the fact that BOTH of his "last matches" weren't his last matches. If this is building toward his super cereal last match ever, fine. We'll see how it goes.

Great first part. I don't keep up with WWE at all these days but stuff like this is worth dipping back in for.

Agreed, he is never gonna get that 5 star classic again. Truth be told the last time he had one was with Punk and that was a long time ago. Also those knee injections look so painful ouch Just seen it and its a great documentary, can't wait for the next part. The Saudi Arabia matches should be interesting. Not just the Goldberg disaster but the Tag match too which was also a cluster albeit that was semi rescued by Shawn Michaels.

I think it really benefited Taker that this year's WM was messed up by the pandemic. It gave him a chance to do the cinematic match, which was obviously a lot less traumatic to his body. Maybe he comes back next year and gives it one more go in a live, stadium fashion. Regardless, I loved Ep 1 and look forward to watching the rest of it. WWE does a phenomenal job with these docs.

It's both weird and really cool to see the man who is The Undertaker hugging people backstage and asking about their lives.
I'm enjoying this so far. I hope we get him to sit down and talk more about the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s. I know he did a bit on the Stone Cold show, but I'd welcome more.

With all his talk in 2017 about being worried about not living up to expectations, I can't imagine what his reaction will be after the DX and Goldberg matches...

Well, that was emotional. And really interesting.
His "Don't tread on me" cap kinda put me off. I don't want to get political here, but people displaying that aren't always the nicest and most reasonable folks around. Just saying.
Preview of the next episode: close up of a power drill going in a hip bone. Yeah, just show that to us a dozen times, WWE.

Well episode two was as good as episode one. It's good to see the person behind the character seem in a good place after the surgery to fix his hip. You could see the guy look and feel better.

I really dug Part 2. I think it makes the redemption of his Mania match with Cena that much better when you see how much he really busted his ass to get to that point. The next episode, on the other hand, with the DX/BoD match from Saudi is going to be another rough one, I feel. That match was f***ing depressing.

Yeah... especially since Shawn returned for that one. I think narrative of the whole series is that Undertaker is looking for reasons to have one more match. Either redemption for a clunker or trying to have one last great one

I really enjoyed part 2, seeing him watch the WM33 match which was awful and he knew he had to come back to redeem himself the next year.
Seeing Primo as his training partner was a surprise, but I liked seeing Taker go through the grind of working out to get back into Mania shape.
Looking forward to next week as they talk about the Saudi show with Taker/Kane vs. DX and they knew it was a trainwreck.
