"Watch Tom Pounce, the midget, wrestle the Teddy Bear!" Giant Jean Ferre is, of course, Andre the Giant.

Look very, very closely at the line-ups for these two Memphis shows from the late 70s:

It still surprises me that Lord Vader decided to debut in Memphis when you'd have thought he could have chosen anywhere in the galaxy... *shrugs*

Keep these coming please. I've wanted a long time to make updated posters and collages out of these old timey ones. The more the better. I'll post the best ones what I can find when I have time!

Please, please, please tell me there's surviving footage of 70s Memphis Darth Vader.

Please, please, please tell me there's surviving footage of 70s Memphis Darth Vader. I have yet to come across any, but from my understanding, it was quite underwhelming. Store-bought Vader helmet and cape that he'd remove before the match, typical generic masked wrestler wearing black during the match.

Yep I have never seen anyone that claimed to have Memphis Vader footage. I doubt even Lawler has a copy. And he claims to have a really big Memphis TV footage collection.
Really doubt if someone had it they would have sat on the footage this long. There was people offering bounties for the footage back in the late 90s.

I'm actually more curious about the Amazing Spider-Man and Kojak from those shows. I see the Memphis Vader get brought up from time to time, but these posters are about all I've ever seen of those two.

FYI, I have this poster. We got it from the cable company when we ordered it. Back when it was Luger/Flair. So, yes I saw GAB '91 live.
