Parts 1 and 2 start Sunday night and chronicle the beginning of the 1997-98 Bulls season. The first 5 minutes of Part 1 are on Twitter as a teaser.

As a child of the '90s who looked upon the Jordan-era Bulls as deities, I can't even begin to explain how excited I am, and have been, for this documentary series to air. But what I'm super NOT looking forward to are the inevitable social media debates that will unfold in the immediate aftermath of each episode:
1. the ever-continuing discussion over who's better - Jordan or LeBron?
2. people coming to grips with the fact that Michael Jordan was kind of a dick to his teammates and either trying to cut him down or defend him because of it.

Jordan was kind of a miserable bastard in general, but that doesn't take away from how incredible of a player he was.

Doesn't help your GM was an even more miserable bastard who hated being ignored in public admiration. Yeah, I don't think kids are putting up Jerry Krause posters. Of course, back in the day, I was (and still am) a Pacers fan so it will be interesting to see when they get to the Eastern Conference Finals, not to mention Jalen Rose is doing post episode podcasts.

Yeah, as a fan of the 90's Knicks, it's going to be real interesting to see what happens when they get to those games.

Jordan was kind of a miserable bastard in general, but that doesn't take away from how incredible of a player he was. Given how star-driven a sport basketball is, and considering how even though you have four teammates on the floor with you, the game can occasionally come down to isolation play, so the best players need to have that curmudgeonly side. Some of the all-timers have had it: Jordan, Bird, Isiah, Kobe, Shaq, just to name a few. They all had that edge to them to know when to say “get me the ball and get the f**k out of the way.”

Curious to see how many people this really covers and how unbiased will it be. Between MJ, Jerry Kraus, Phill, and Pippen you have a lot of egos that needed to be stroked... and I think a lot if negatives have come out about how Scottie handles some things after MJ came back

They all had that edge to them to know when to say “get me the ball and get the f**k out of the way.” You kind of see it in hockey too. It's a little bit of an open secret, for example, that Sidney Crosby is INCREDIBLY picky about who he'll accept as a linemate. Even if he has great chemistry with someone (Patric Hornqvist, for example), he absolutely will not play on the same line as them (unless the team is absolutely desperate) because Hornqvist's style of play (slow, physical, jostle and jockey for position at the net-front) frustrates him and drives him up a wall. He'd rather play with a scrub that can keep up with his pace and style (Dominik Simon, for example) even if that player has no scoring touch at ALL.

Kids, the guy you associate with the crying meme was once the most imposing athlete on the planet.

Can you imagine had they used a Jerry Krause stand with a removable dress as motivation?

Phil Jackson looking like J. Jonah Jameson.
Jerry Krause looking like a clean shaven Paul Blart.

Lol @ telling a guy with 5 titles that you don't care if he goes undefeated, he's out. Apparently the one person who can coach a rebuilding team is a college coach.
Aww, Stern.

I would praise someone for defending against Jordan in the 1985 tournament, but that guy turned into a horrible douchebag.

The Portland Trailblazers select... Sam Bowie!
And his legs decide to turn against him the moment he tries pro basketball.

Wonder if that former Chicago resident, Barack Obama ever did anything outside of living in Chicago.
