After a couple hours of searching caught a Scarab and a Horned Hercules to finish up my July bug collection. Had already gotten all the fish, so guess need to turn my attention to the diving next. Granted I've already caught like 20 of them.
Edit: Turns after a little searching and then checking the list the only one I'm currently missing is the Gigas Giant Clam so guess gonna go hunt that down.

Small update added last night:
Animal Crossing Update 1.3.1 Release Notes (Released July 9, 2020)
The software has been updated if you see “Ver. 1.3.1” in the upper-right corner of the title screen.
Fixed the following issues:
Addressed issue where players could not properly use a zen bridge or red zen bridge placed on top of a cliff (third tier). Addressed issue where a wet suit would not be available for sale within Nook’s Cranny. Addressed issue where hermit crabs would appear in places other than the beach. Addressed issue where a dialogue bubble would improperly appear after speaking with island residents.

Also, KK will be playing Sunday nights following bug offs or fishing tourneys now instead of Fridays.

From what I understand the golden stag has a reputation as being the single hardest to catch bug in the game. What I'd advise is do a mystery tour and prep it as you usually would for tarantulas and scorpions except leave up a small cluster of trees, mostly being sure to keep the palm trees. It might take awhile but it helps a lot, is how I got the vast majority of the beetles.

You also have a chance at beetle island, which is a newer island filled from top to bottom with trees and a higher chance of beetles to spawn.

Cyclomattus stag Golden Stag Giraffe Stag Horned Hercules Walking Stick I feel like some of these don't have great spawn rates.

I'm pretty checked out on AC for the moment. Imagine the new August creatures and the next patch will help, but for right now there's a mix of me having caught everything I can thus far catch and Friends of Mineral Town scratching a similar itch.
Though I do need to get back to the game to do some reorganization on my town and continue my flower purge. Have some ideas on edits to do to the layout that I just haven't made the time for.

I feel ya on the flowers, Lizuka #BLM. They can be so overwhelming because they just keep sprouting. Question about using amiibo cards to bring a character to the campsite, if anyone knows: I know you can't just invite them to the island and then immediately ask them to move in; that you have to ask something like three times first. What I'm wondering is how long is the process to get them to accept in terms of actual time in the game? Really, what I'm curious about is if you have a villager already moving out, would their plot be auto-filled before you're able to actually ask your amiibo character to move in?
