There's the QB I thought they were always going to take if Love doesn't fall to them. Edit: Apparently this spells the end for Swag Kelly unless someone trades for Brissett (maybe a return to NE?) It seems like Stidham so much I don't think they're drafting QB...maybe rd 7. I would prefer Jacoby over Hoyer, but if they're all in on Stidham. Bringing back Jacoby would instantly start at QB battle. I have to ask, should they have that much faith in Stidham? Beating out Hoyer isn't that big a deal when you take into consideration that they needed to develop someone.

Belichick thinks he can make anyone good...watch they're gonna try to win games like 17-10.

And he fell to them at that so they got good value No real rush to get rid of Brissett or Kelly True, but I have to wonder if they could not have made due with one of the other QBs in the 5th and drafted Anae here. I doubt he lasts until their next pick. I don't know; I just don't tend to get too committed to QBs that fall past the 3rd. Sure, there are some that are worthwhile past that point (Brady was a 6th and Romo was undrafted), but the track record isn't there.

Told you Gase was going to want a QB to develop as a backup

No they shouldn't but he "knows" the playbook and Bill wants to prove everyone wrong even if it hurts the team see ie Bulter SB52

Jets was doing good but I do not like their last two picks
That OT was so low rated he don't even got a profile on ESPN for a draft breakdown
By their count he was the number 23 ranked OT, and 253rd overall ranked player

Vikings have had a good draft
They have hit all their needs and gotten quality

It also explains why they can now afford Williams when they could not afford Buckner.

Considering the Colts philosophy towards Kelly was "let's just hoard the guy", it's for the best they get rid of him because I kept getting angry all of last season when they refused to give him a chance after the team got eliminated.

Sneed is a perfect fit in the Chiefs secondary, experience at corner and safety.

In any case, it is still someone they needed If they somehow find themselves trash and in position for a QB next year then it is a full on reset but for now they got a guy who can learn behind two veterans Unless they trade Brissett. Remember, if you trade for Brissett you are not trading for a 1 yr, $21M contracted player. The Colts have to pay most of that contract, so you are trading for a 1 yr, $9M contract, which is reasonable for a top end backup and a damned steal if he is actual competition for your starting slot. I doubt the Saints really want Hill as their QB2 or they would not have paid Teddy last year. The Jags and Patriots really need to have an open competition for their QB1 spot. There's value there to trade for.

I suspect actually paying a real price for a bad choice when the Broncos canned him despite actually needing him might have been a key learning moment for him.

The Giants have had a decent draft thus far, but I must ask the question as why, why, WHHHHHYYYYY the Front Office stubbornly refuse to address their glaring weaknesses in the linebacker and Edge rusher position? You could have a secondary with Rod Woodson on one side and Neon Deion on the other and it wouldn't matter much if your pass rush is non-existent. Maybe Fackrell, Ximenes and Carter make an impact for the Giants, but I have doubts. And the inside linebackers are fairly dismal outside of Blake Martinez. I get the reinforcements up front for Jones/Barkley in Thomas and a lesser extent, Peart, but unless Gettleman, Judge and Co. feel like the Giants offense can go up and down the field on any team and put up 35+, I don't see the point in ignoring this team's biggest weaknesses.

I knew nothing about the Colts' most recent pick so I read up on what made him a preferable pick over Shane Lemieux. He was a TE who packed on 50 lbs the last few years to play OT. I can't imagine packing on that much weight, especially while retaining any semblance of athleticism.
