Which barring injury or a Joe Burrow like surge, would be Trevor Lawrence's to lose in that class. The Patriots aren't getting Lawrence, they'd have to be like 1-15 bad. I'm not saying it has to be Trevor Lawrence with the first overall pick. The Dolphins didn't have the worst record in the NFL and they still got their quarterback of the future. The same goes for the Chargers. If Jarrett Stidham doesn't pan out, the Patriots will need to identify who will be the signal caller to guide them into the 2020's, whether that's Lawrence or Ohio State's Justin Fields or Georgia's Jamie Newman.

Let me guess, some of your best friends are Native Americans? Let me be clear; I don’t care about how long the team has had that name. That name was chosen by such a raging racist that the federal government had to threaten to lock him out of the stadium he was using to force him to hire anyone other than white people. When you get angry that you are being forced to hire any minorities whatsoever, you lose any credibility when you claim that the racial slur you chose for your team name wasn’t racially motivated. I’m actually part Cherokee. The name doesn’t other me. I have some distant Native American roots on both sides of my family, though it is watered down enough that I would not claim any rights to be considered to be remotely representative of the group. I just know what the motivation associated with the name was and that offends me. It’s like your sibling doing that little thing that annoys you so badly. It’s not the act itself, but the intention behind the act that is infuriating.

Jaguars picked a real WTF pick in the Oregon State QB. Not only did Oregon State not have a winning season during his tenure (which you can argue was due to coaching), but his size and playstyle certainly doesn't help.

I'm in the bob camp of not being happy with what we (Packers) did. I would have traded up to the teens once the receivers all dropped out of the top ten, get Rodgers a weapon then wait a few rounds to get either Fromm or Eason as the heir apparent. Partially because that's the right thing to do, and partially because the entire sports world is going to be debating and yelling about "Rodgers is a diva, he got dissed by Green Bay" the next couple of weeks due to there being no sports on the horizon.

The problem is once it was Green Bay's turn, even after they traded up, most of the good WRs were gone, and the problem with wanting a WR in a later round is that if you need a #2 guy, you need someone who is a "plug in and go" player, and by the time our turn came, the "plug in and go guys" were all but gone (and I don't know quite enough about that Tee guy to know if he is that type). And Love was ahead of Eason and Fromm on a lot of boards and was even projected to be a Rd1 guy. So it really wasn't much a reach.

They’ve done this for years but with more eyes on the product and less activity it really got shown this year Everybody has a tragedy in their life and it really isn’t fair to them that on their biggest day on their life, they have to relive that

They talk about your life tragedy immediately or if you f***ed up at some point they immediately spend 5 minutes talking about what a f***up you are, that's pretty rough to basically shit on a guys dream he's worked his whole life for just like that.

"What would you say to him right now?" I dunno, I'd probably tell him these exploitative motherf***ers who I just met are trying to get me to talk about my dead family member for ratings. I stopped watching American Ninja Warrior when they were like "Yeah, you can do unbelievable feats of athleticism, but do you know any special needs kids we can put on TV?" It's really obvious and really disgusting. The mom on drugs thing was laughably over the line. Up there with that GM asking Dez if his mom was a prostitute.

Yea, this is the year where everyone finally noticed and it is going to bite them because it is f***ed up. Like people with character issues, that's fair game to bring that up and what they got in trouble for in college because that's a legit reason to worry. But to go so far deep in a persons history and do this f****ed up shit is crazy

Yea, you don't see this shit with the NBA They go a little overboard with some things but EVERYONE has been through the struggle one way or another and they aren't going to do rehash that storyline. Nobody wants the worst memories of their life being the first thing the public hears about them unless they want to tell that story themselves I forgot how disrespectful they was to Dez. They went way overboard in the way he was treated

Not people obviously prying and getting personal to try and manufacture some bullshit, and the whole time it led to canned answers because they went at it so heavy-handed. There were no moments like that in the draft. So it was just them fishing for hours with no damn shame.

Yea, they let natural emotion show through as opposed to asking a question to get a specific answer. It is just dumb. You got Trey Wingo acting over enthusiastic and then lowering his voice to do the serious part and then going back to normal. Like yes, some of them were legit said and like holy f*** but it became so heavy handed that you almost grow cold to it because in the back of your head you are like here is another sob story which is the absolute opposite reaction you want from the crowd

People get fatigue of that stuff after it's what you talk about with every single prospect.
